  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 25, 2005 -> 04:05 PM) I think the ultimate insults were when people were begging for Joe Borchard instead of Everett. OUCH!!!!
  2. THE ULTIMATE INSULT Bat Crede higher in the order than Everett
  3. Walking Hafner was the best thing they could do in that spot.
  4. And if Carl is setting the bench tonight, does that mean Timo is our DH??? :headshake
  5. I thought it was interesting at the game last night. I saw at least two people with Sox jerseys with Griffey on the back. .... If only it were 93 and Griffey and Thomas were healthy and both on the White Sox.
  6. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 03:30 PM) Because this isnt the end... I guess that's a matter of opinion. Unless, of course you are suggesting that it already ended/it's already over.
  7. I can't believe nobody has thought of this appropriate classic The Doors "The End"
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 07:07 PM) I hope you have the door shut when you do it.
  9. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 06:47 PM) hey we could be playing like this and be five games behind in the loss column It is a possibility. Dare I suggest a banner that reads, "Always look on the Bright Side" with the subtext "The Further Downward Spiral"
  10. This is a great way to Jinx Cleveland. Hell, I am going to go out on a limb and say the Indians will win 17 of there last 20 games.
  11. Everything sucks right now. Our team is terrible. But at least we are not in Iraq or New Orleans. We have food and a home and most of us have jobs. And dam it, at least we are not Cubs fans. But if you are feeling bad, whistle along and sing .... Some things in life are bad They can really make you mad Other things just make you swear and curse. When you're chewing on life's gristle Don't grumble, give a whistle And this'll help things turn out for the best... And...always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the light side of life... If life seems jolly rotten There's something you've forgotten And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing. When you're feeling in the dumps Don't be silly chumps Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing. And...always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the light side of life... For life is quite absurd And death's the final word You must always face the curtain with a bow. Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow. So always look on the bright side of death Just before you draw your terminal breath Life's a piece of s*** When you look at it Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true. You'll see it's all a show Keep 'em laughing as you go Just remember that the last laugh is on you. And always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the right side of life... (Come on guys, cheer up!) Always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the bright side of life... (Worse things happen at sea, you know.) Always look on the bright side of life... (I mean - what have you got to lose?) (You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing. What have you lost? Nothing!) Always look on the right side of life...
  12. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 05:41 PM) Time to put 'em down for good? Amen!
  13. I hate the Joe Crede Banner. Always did, always will. Screw banners, the team needs to play baseball.
  14. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 05:35 PM) Keep Ozzie, lose Joey Cora. WTF is up with that guy lately? Carl gets a late sign and overruns third. AJ gets waved home and is thrown out easily after a double clutch by the second baseman. Not even close. Cora needs the Old Yeller treatment too
  15. So along with Ozzie let fire ... Greg Walker Carl Everett Timo Perez Flamin' Freddy Garcia Paul Knoerko Ross Gload .... eh, this post will take too long. It is gonna start reading like the Vietnam Memoral.
  16. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 05:22 PM) I was thinking about that. I think the chances of OG resigning are far greater than him getting fired. That day trip to Miami may be a sign of a crack in the armour. There was that issue with his heart in spring training which turned out not to be serious, but it would make you think. He's stated several times he doesn't need the money, maybe he may just decide he doesn't need the headaches that go with managing a major league team. Not sure I agree about Ozzie resigning. Unfortunately, he is here for another year. But taking off to FL and leaving behind the problem reaks of a Michael Moore conspiracy. Farenhiet 13 anyone?
  17. Aces don't give up ten hits per game. Makes it difficult to keep the other team off the scoreboard.
  18. I thought the title insinuated a drug reference ... Dam.
  19. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 04:31 PM) Yeah, this year the Twins have 6 playoff games, and they are the 6 games remaining against the Sox, I'm sure they will play and handle them like playoff games... That's encouraging. Maybe they should just start Santana all three games. Or hell, Joe Mays
  20. QUOTE(bigred3535 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 05:15 PM) During the pregame interview with Konerko today, he just looked plain tired. DJ asked him a couple questions about the clubhouse and he kind of sighed and said they weren't all that happy right now. And this is coming from the only guy who seems to be playing well...it certainly looks as if the Sox players may be growing tired of Ozzie's act already. Not sure this is an act. This is the Ozzie we expect when we hired him. He is not a rocket scientist. He is not a smart baseball man. He plays by his gut. He lets his pitchers stay in too long because his gut tells him so. Hell, this is the same gut that tells him to play Timo once or twice a week.
  21. Terry Bevington is still available. He handles pitching staffs equally well.
