Javy still has second best stuff on thr staff imho.... he has the talent to go on a Count like run

QUOTE(sircaffey @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 06:39 PM) Soriano has 70 or someodd RBIs while batting leadoff for a NL team (pitcher ahead of him). I assume he feels most comfortable there. Keep him there. Ya and dont you think he could be more valuable at the #2 position? With more people on base and Thome behind him..... I think he is under utilized at #1.
-
Why bat Soriano leadoff? That's alot of wasted RBI action with the HR's and his power imho.... better to bat him second and have Iguchi, BA or Uribe in at #1... why waste his bat?

Man this site is going down the drain.... witch-hunting, member bashing, fighting over silly imposed rules... and now a swearinf filter? Are we not adults? What's wrong with swearing? I hate things that have to be censored or culled like this..... oh well Is there another sox site with a more adult and individual atmosphere...because this ride on the tea cups is saddening

Is it time to Move BA up in Line-Up?
Misplaced_Sox replied to klaus kinski's topic in Pale Hose Talk
He's been making real solid contact for a while now... unlike alot of our hitters At least he seems to have a plan... gotta give him that -

Beurhle is starting in CF to give Ozzie another lefty bat..... his defense I heard is better than Macks...per ESPN -
Keepin' that Motown Mojo = Sox @ Tigers

Gimmie a break... he had 3 soft crappy hits against him and a huge letdown by Mack in CF.... because the guy cant play Cf on the blooper... and AJ tagging Ivan instead of going to first on the force WTF Please Javy pitched good this game... what more do you want.. -
nothing is minor with an elbow on a pitcher... scar tissue will form, nerves will have to regrow, bursa issues in the joint.... joint problems are not good for pitchers.....
-
BA leaps and bounds better than Uribe right now lol
-
LOL Paul makes up for the fielding gaff
-
It looked like Paul belly flopped right over the ball....wtf..... he could have just ranged a bit more to his left.... it want hit that hard
-
hitting the ball well today an aside..... the Comcast detroit announcers are so boring.... I dunno how they can hate on DJ and Hawk... its like listening to the FOX C team. I guess they are good because they are pretty impartial but they real like they would rather be elswhere....

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 07:42 PM) For those scoring at home, that last catch that Brian had would of fell if Mack was out in center. I do not disagree with that one bit
-
QUOTE(rudylaw @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 07:36 PM) Was BA's ball hit hard? All I see is line hard to 3rd? It was hit well, solid contact.... hit quickly at Inge and right about his head.... he had to make a lighting quick stab at it... good play by him.

Its all good and all but the Haiku is a different technique. I know your having fun and it is amusing but Im just being technical here. What you have provided is a "Hokku" a starting chain. Normally a Haiku is composed a single thought between two distances and it stops..... it also hints or winks at the season in which it was written as in "fresh" for spring..... "warm, moist" summer..... "dry, leave" fall and "sleep, alone" winter..... Anyways I it is a nice idea

I think Javier can easily be a dominant pitcher..... with just a switch of the mind set.... he easily has the stuff to do it. Im just hoping he can relize it and Coop and see him to the end. History would suggest otherwise for Javier but wierder things have happened.

Sunday Yankees vs Whitesox 7/16/06 Gamethread
Misplaced_Sox replied to southsideirish71's topic in 2006 Season in Review
Well Ozzie not wanting Ba in CF today cost us another run.... Hurrah! -
Stats can be misleading.... if you asked GM's around the league who would they rather have they would pick Halladay over Buerhle in a land slide. The two are not even compartive.

See this is why we need to draft some project electric arms with good fastballs... because when they are missing their spots they at least can get by with their stuff... when mark is up up up up and off the plate... hes worthless... sorry -
Wow phillips pitches just like Mark..... except his breaking ball drops much heavier at the end.
