Aerosmith's Steven Tyler to Undergo Surgery Yahoo news 58 minutes ago LOS ANGELES - Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler will undergo surgery this week for an undisclosed medical condition, forcing the band to cancel the remaining dates of its North American tour. The band's publicist, Marcee Rondan, said Tuesday that Tyler was "doing fine" but declined to elaborate on his condition. "Despite Aerosmith's desire to keep the tour going as long as possible, Tyler's doctors advised him not to continue performing to give his voice time to recover," Rondan said in a statement. Tyler, who turns 58 on Sunday, can't perform for an extended period of time, Rondan said, adding the band was on hiatus. Aerosmith canceled recent concerts in Manchester, N.H., Pensacola, Fla., and Lexington, Ky., because of illness, though the tour press director did not disclose who was sick or the nature of the illness. Rumors are that it's esophageal cancer. If it is, it's not good. Mortality rate is not much longer then a year post surgical.

Wow. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11957836/ Family lost 17 days rationed food, told jokes ‘I’m so proud of my family ... they didn’t lose it,’ says man of camper ordeal Updated: 11:31 a.m. ET March 22, 2006 GLENDALE, Ore. - Inside their snowbound RV, the family’s supplies and fuel were running low, and news reports indicated that a search for the six missing relatives had been called off. “We had fuel and food but we were running short. We were rationing,” said Elbert Higginbotham, one of the missing. The family decided to send two members out for help, hoping to end more than two weeks trapped in the snowy wilderness. It worked. On Tuesday, 17 days after they first vanished during a trip to the Oregon coast, they were rescued. More at link

What a waste... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060322/ap_on_...XAwBHNlYwM3NTU- Dwight Gooden May Go to Prison MITCH STACY, Associated Press Writer 43 minutes ago TAMPA, Fla. - Former baseball star Dwight Gooden admitted in court Wednesday that he violated his probation by using cocaine and likely faces prison time when he is sentenced next month. Dressed in an orange jail uniform and with family members looking on, the 41-year-old former pitcher answered "yes, sir," when state Circuit Judge Anthony K. Black asked him if he had violated his probation. He will remain in jail and faces up to five years in prison after a hearing April 5. "We are seeking prison," prosecutor Pam Bondi said afterward, but it hasn't been determined how long of a sentence her office will request. Gooden admitted to a probation officer last week that he had used cocaine. He was serving three years' probation for speeding away from a police officer during a drunken driving traffic stop last year. In November he had apologized to the court when he pleaded guilty to a felony count of fleeing police, misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and obstruction and to an unrelated charge of hitting his girlfriend. As part of his probation, Gooden was ordered to stay away from alcohol, drugs and bars, and submit to a minimum of three random urine tests a week. He also spent several months in an inpatient treatment facility for alcohol and drug addiction. His attorney, Peter Hobson, declined to comment on Gooden's latest trouble. "We're just going to prepare for the hearing in two weeks," he said. Gooden's family members also left court without commenting. Gooden was the 1984 Rookie of the Year and 1985 NL Cy Young winner while with the New York Mets. He went 194-112 with a 3.51 ERA before retiring in 2001. He also pitched for the New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians, Houston Astros and Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

Daddy will be right back... :headshake http://www.wgal.com/news/8182833/detail.ht...sp=nationalnews Dad Arrested After Toddler Wanders Into Strip Club Boy Claimed Dad Said Monsters Would Eat Him POSTED: 8:28 am EST March 22, 2006 Email This Story | Print This Story TULSA, Okla. -- A Kansas man was arrested at a Tulsa strip club after police said his toddler son was left in a cold car and found wandering into the club. Christopher Greg Killion, 31, of Sabetha, Kan., was arrested Saturday on a complaint of "encouraging a minor child to be in need of supervision." He posted $500 bond and was released from jail. The boy told police that his father told him to stay in the car, and that if he left it, "monsters would eat him." A manager at the club had called police to report that about 30 minutes after Killion entered the club, a 3- to 4-year-old boy came inside looking for his father. Officers determined that the boy had been left alone in a car in the strip club's parking lot. The car was unlocked and parked about 20 feet from a four-lane street. It was raining and 45 degrees outside at the time, an officer noted in the police report.

QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 11:05 PM) I thought it was in Baltimore during the season? There were some taken there also. But most of them had Joe Crede in them. These girls need f***ing lives, and new lies. I wish one of these players would go after them. Sites like "on the dl" are hurtful and slanderous, IMO. It's to the point where the players can't even go out for a drink or be friendly without some skank taking a picture with them and them making up some bulls*** story.

That's it. Nothing more, nothing less. We were sitting 3 seats from him. The girls took pictures with him, Jon, Ozzie, Paul, etc, etc... then left.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 06:52 PM) Holy cripes. That the one on the 2nd floor right on scottsdale road? Yep. A group of golfers were on the prowl. At one point they tried to follow the girls in to the bathroom. The cops ended up being called because they got pissed when they stopped serving them. I couldn't believe my eyes.

I have one that I had put in a place where it's seen only if I want it to be. No regrets. Wasn't too painful. Took about a week to heal. Didn't bother me to do normal activities. Cost depends on the size and the artist. Something like that you're better off going to someone with a good rep. Look at their former work. It's for life (in most cases) and you want it to look the best it can. I'd pay more for a good job for sure.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/03/20/boy.shot.ap/index.html :headshake Neighbor charged with shooting teen who walked on his grass Tuesday, March 21, 2006; Posted: 1:22 a.m. EST (06:22 GMT) BATAVIA, Ohio (AP) -- A man who neighbors say was devoted to his meticulously kept lawn was charged with murder in the shooting of a 15-year-old boy who apparently walked across his yard. Charles Martin called 911 on Sunday afternoon, saying calmly: "I just killed a kid." Police, who released the call's contents, said Martin also told the dispatcher: "I've been harassed by him and his parents for five years. Today just blew it up." Larry Mugrage, whose family lived next door, was shot in the chest with a shotgun. The high school freshman was pronounced dead at a hospital. Martin, 66, allegedly told police he had several times had problems with neighbors walking on his lawn. He remained jailed without bond Monday. His jailers said no attorney was listed for him. Neighbors said Martin lived alone quietly, often sitting in front of his one-story home with its neat lawn, well-trimmed shrubbery and flag pole with U.S. and Navy flags flying. Joanne Ritchie, 46, said Mugrage was known as "a good kid." She said she always also considered Martin to be friendly. Union Township is near Batavia, about 20 miles east of Cincinnati, Ohio.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 04:39 PM) Now coke is a whole different issue. If that ever comes up, dont f***ing try it. That is the most addictive drug out there, and it detroys your life and others around you. Thats a huge f***ing no no. No worries there. I have a cousin - one we haven't seen in years who wears the "black sheep" sweater - who came to a wedding strung out when I was about 14. It was not a pretty picture and scared the s*** out of me. We leave if we see that s*** going on.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 04:37 PM) You must be referring to "that" girl who sits in the recliner with her eyes half-open, half-closed with a stupid grin on her face while everyone stands around. We had to sit my roomate next to those chicks to make sure they didnt get molested or worse during parties. Sometimes the scum that drifts into college parties is unbelievable. Not just college parties... we saw 2 girls nearly get date raped at the effing Ruth Chris in Scottsdale last week. I could not believe my eyes. Some real scumbags out there.

Never smoked pot. But I've gotten "contact high" many times - good old Jimmy Buffet concerts But I never hung around with people who did it, so it wasn't an issue in my teens. One time, in my late 20's which is strangely when I all of a sudden knew a ton of people who did it, Jim and I were at a house warming party and a group was outside smoking. The host walks in from getting stoned, walks right into her kitchen wall, falls backwards, hit her head on the corner of her granite counter top and 5 hours and 31 stitches later was nursing a bad headache. That was enough for me to stick to my guns and not "smoke".

QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 02:42 PM) One challenge to the Dante 7th circle theory -- he's registered as Finnerty, who defrauded the monks. It also makes Tony himself an imposter. That would be the 8th circle. Once you've started on the psycho babble, may as well go all out, right? I think Ribbie assured that.
