    Pop culture trivia..

    QUOTE(Brian @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 11:13 AM) Kevin, Gene, and Feldman? I remember Gene and Feldman, not sure about Kevin though. And if I am thinking of the same thing, they weren't clones, they were the exact opposite. Been a while since I watched it.. but I recall them being freaky similar not opposite.

    QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 10:06 AM) No food after midnight, and you cannot get them wet. Half right. Just 1 rule. Getting them wet doesn't change them, it multiplies the Magwai.
  7. Post a question, poster who answers correctly posts the next one. What rule is broken to turn Magwai into Gremlins?

    Rent/Mortgage.

    QUOTE(vandy125 @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 09:56 AM) I guess that mine actually isn't a PMI payment. It is a secondary loan to pay the down payment needed on the first loan to avoid PMI, but at my last place I did pay PMI. I did that because it was my first house, so I had no equity to borrow the additional funds. I was tired of sending monthly rent checks that were not going towards anything, and figured it was better to pay PMI, but still have the money go somewhere. OK, good. These days you can buy a house borrowing up to 97% of the value. I just don't see the point in paying PMI ever. It is better then paying rent though.

    Rent/Mortgage.

    For those of you with PMI, did you not consider borrowing the additional funds via a home equity/line of credit to not have to pay it? PMI is the biggest rip off.

    QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 09:40 AM) Of course most of us would have to kill someone to have your place... So I guess it evens out I lie comfortably in my bed.

    Rent/Mortgage.

    QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 09:35 AM) Not often I agree with Steff, but on this one I wholeheartedly concur. Mortgage and taxes about $3000 per month. Of course for the forseeable future, I am paying $4500 per month since we have yet to sell our old house. Need to unload that thing now. We're about to be in your boat if Jim has his way. He's been "visiting" property and wants to build another house.

    Rent/Mortgage.

    I would kill to have some of your mortgage payments..
  13. If s*** is going to be edited at least have the common f***ing courtesy to advise.
  14. QUOTE(kman @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 04:54 AM) nope, you are mistaken. No mistake. I was there.
  15. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 06:38 PM) Wasn't meant to be a knock, just a funny quote. (I literally loled. I am, yes, easily amused.) Though, to be honest, I can't say I'll trust his "sources" the next time. But that's just me, I'm not calling for his head or anything. No, I totally understand. Trust me.. I've been in his shoes. :rolly
  16. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 06:31 PM) I'm obviously completely retarded. But it didn't take this post for ya to figure this out. Jim just about busted his pants when he read that...
  17. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 05:24 PM) I wonder if spataro's seen it. Says he logged in yesterday. Seen on a NY fan forum -- "If you can't trust spataro51, then who can you trust in this crazy world?" Lol While this didn't pan out, he does have some solid sources.
  18. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 05:21 PM) Are you implying its not a done issue? We talked about this when you were here for the last home series....
  19. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 04:54 PM) Steff, I was just saying that if some how a lawyer was able to craft a way to make Soxtalk liable for the statements of its posters, that even then they would further have to prove that the posters or Soxtalk, knew that the rumors were false. Its the same reason when Canseco's book came out a bunch of non-lawyers started saying how Canseco was going to be sued, etc. And there was to my knowledge never even a complaint filed against him. Its very hard for a public figure to be defamed. It's my belief that no one brought suit against Jose because he can prove his stories. It's also my belief that where there is smoke, there is fire.
  20. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 04:49 PM) Well if there are any lurkers who want a poster to be their new favorite, I think that Soxbadger will be the one for you. Also I wouldnt worry about any legal ramifications for the thread, etc. Both Clemens and Damon are public figures, meaning that they would have to prove "malice" or actual knowledge that what they said about Clemens is false. Did they ever make statements...?
  21. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 04:46 PM) I never appease. Then you shall be banned.
  22. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 04:44 PM) I hope this SI article doesn't change our website. And by change, I mean a WSI scenario where we're more concerned about appeasing the media than serving our own members. I doubt this would happen, but just want to throw it out there and hope it's shunned upon. It wont happen anytime..... soon.
  23. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 04:41 PM) I still think that. I did say "most" posters, not "all". I think the general reaction was just wait-and-see, and some tittering and chatter. Not really accusatory. And I haven't seen the SI story, but it would be awful funny if journalists attacked anonymous internet posters for irresponsible reporting. Jmho. I think that was the general reaction by everyone but the "na, na, na, na, na, naaaaa" ones.
  24. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 04:38 PM) Today. Ugh.. it's going to suck around here for a few days.
  25. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 04:36 PM) It's sad. I read that last line over and over, and had to ask Heads who it was. Because RC is officially forever engrained in my head as Rally Crede. LMAO!!
