    QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 11:16 AM) Well, sink or swim. . . Or... throw in the towel.
  2. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 11:14 AM) He is officially schedule from 6am-10:00 New York time, but he usually goes til 11am New York time. They let him stay in studio as long as we wants sometimes. Just saying what I was told from a guy who ran the control board for him in Chicago. He told me they used to do an hour delay but it was a hassle editing in the commercials or something. Not to mention after I tried to call in, Stern said it was a quarter to 11 and he had to go and here it was quarter to 10. Hmmm.. strange. They called Courtney Love on Monday at the start of the show and said it was 2am in California.. that would make it 5am in NY. Oh well doesn't matter. Nice job hijacking, jerk.

    QUOTE(Texsox @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 11:07 AM) RIP Ohh hell, I just typed that because Steff, YAS, and Willie are all about to pass me for 3rd in post count. So I'm taking any excuse, even a RIP post, to try to stay ahead. I feel like an aging ball player hanging on to hit 500. I could give two rips that he dies. And he wouldn't have cared if I died. LMAO Tex... Don't worry. I won't pass you and even if I did it would be short lived since I'm never here on the weekends.
  5. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) Or did you just spit coffee in their laps?? Who you been talking to... ?? p.s... I don't spit.
  6. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 10:56 AM) that 2000 team was the real deal. If there pitching wouldve stayed healthy, we wouldve had a nice run in the playoffs. This year we stay healthy and win that goofy ass trophy you get when you win the world series. Hu...??? The offense wet itself from the get go.

    Oh hell.. nice edit YAS.
  8. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 10:49 AM) I don't really drink anymore, and especially not at the price they are in a ballpark. I actually don't usually eat or drink during the game. If it's allowed I might bring in a water and some peanuts (nervous habit), but usually I'm content to just sit and watch the game. I guess you could say I'm a cheap date. . . You can bring in unopened water and peanuts. The ones they sell in the lot are cheaper than the ones inside. Do you know if you are going 8/20 yet..?
  9. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 10:42 AM) No we don't. We used to get delay a few years ago, but we get the show as they do it, maybe on 8 sec delay which is normal. Nanny Nanny Boo Boo. Worked with a guy who ran the board last year at WCKG. You can tell it's back to delay just from listening. The show starts at 5am... which is the same time it starts there.. if we were not on delay it would start at 4am here.

  13. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 10:16 AM) Listening to Stern this morning, and Artie was talking about how he was giving advice to Will about placing a bet on the Tigers today because Freddy has won his last 6 starts and is due to lose, along with Robertson having a low ERA. I tried calling in to get on and tell them than Freddy is lights out during the day so I wouldn't place that belt but they were going off the air in a few minutes. There goes my 15 minutes of fame. We get tape delay.. the show was long over by the time you heard that conversation.

    QUOTE(Texsox @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 10:10 AM) Back when this was the official hangout for Eminem fan boys, you would have been skating on thin ice. Yikes Tex.. that was "cold as ice.. "
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 09:37 AM) I completely disagree with this. Overall their lineups are better then the Sox but our pitching staff blows both of their's out of the water. Like he said.. player by player we lose. If it's only pitcher comparisons, I would agree we'd have a slight advantage.
  16. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 09:30 AM) IMO, Palmeiro is without question a First Ballot Hall Of Famer. He's gotta be one of the most underrated players of all time, this thread kind of proves that. He was both a devastating hitter and an elite defender. 3000 hits ain't no joke. No one knows what will happen so maybe we should get off our high horses.. :rolly
  17. QUOTE(mreye @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 09:29 AM) It's doable. Ahhh.. LMAO!! Good old RPS.
  18. QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 09:18 AM) Damnit can someone just find Christopher Llyod and go get the Sports Almanac....... Sigh.. if only our Delorian wasn't in the shop.
  19. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 09:06 AM) Sometimes it is better to give than receive . . .
  20. From 7/20's game thread reflecting on the previous night's loss... YAS... They didn't suck yesterday. We did. And Tex with the zinger.. Sometimes it is better to give than receive . . .
  21. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 09:02 AM) Just call me Cliff Politte for that set up You guys are in rare form the past few days..
  22. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 08:59 AM) I was crushed. I was 16/17 and it was the only home I ever knew. It was like losing a part of my childhood. Plus the replacement park only made it worse, it was so sterile after the character and intimacy of the old lady. The only think I liked for several years about the new place was that our seats were nicer. And the bathrooms also.. but I agree with you overall. I cried at the last game..
  23. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 08:59 AM) ^^^^^ I use that line quite often.
  24. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 08:56 AM) Honestly ... not bad at all. Could use a little more... but I can't complain too much.
