  1. QUOTE(quickman @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 12:20 PM) Well your not really helping me. Sometimes it may be just him, sometimes him with someone else, sometimes someone else all together... That's the best I can do. Sorry...
  2. QUOTE(quickman @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 12:03 PM) Steff Can you elaborate without naming names. What do you mean share with two others? two others with him at the same time, like Bill Melton and someone else, or two otehrs meaning two other hosts splitting the duties on different days. Both scenerios.
  3. QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 11:00 AM) Finally, we agree on something. Apparently you have me confused with someone else.
  4. QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 10:58 AM) They'll revoke his bail. Yep.. $3 million bones.
  5. Jackson failed to show up for court today.. supposedly he's at the hospital again.. and supposedly the judge issued a warrant for his arrest if he doesn't show up to court within an hour. What a moron..
  6. Yea.. he'll share the duties with 2 others.
  7. QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 10:36 AM) His home is in Chicago (lives there), but he is in Texas going to college. How is that THAT much different? I think you misunderstood him then... him and his family live in Texas.
  8. QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 10:31 AM) That's what he told me. He's from Chicago, but lives in Texas while he goes to college. That's entirely different than what you posted.
  9. QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 10:45 PM) TRU lives in Chicago but goes to college in Texas, by the way. I'm pretty sure you're incorrect.
  10. Cat... Cat Shoots Owner 1 hour, 28 minutes ago Strange News - AP BATES TOWNSHIP, Mich. - A man cooking in his kitchen was shot after one of his cats knocked his 9mm handgun onto the floor, discharging the weapon, Michigan State Police said. Joseph Stanton, 29, of Bates Township in Iron County, was shot in his lower torso around 6 p.m. Tuesday, the state police post in Iron River reported. He was transported to Iron County Community Hospital. Michelle Sand, a spokeswoman at the Iron River hospital, said Stanton was treated there before being transferred to Marquette General Hospital for further treatment. But Marcie Miller, a representative of the Marquette facility, said there was no record of the hospital receiving a patient by that name. A telephone message seeking comment was left Wednesday at Stanton's home. State police said he was cooking at his stove when the cat knocked the loaded gun off the kitchen counter behind him.
  11. QUOTE(Y2HH @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 05:03 PM) That's pretty insane to play 25/50 against friends...not something I'd ever do. Tournament games are more my style when it involves friends, that way I don't feel bad at the end of the night. You guys play with quite large buyins for friendly games. -y2 I don't think they are what Jim considers "friends". And the money is relative. You play what you can afford.
  12. QUOTE(Y2HH @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 04:54 PM) Do you run your tournaments on buy-in? Say, everyone pays 50$ or whatever the asking price is, then they are given a certain amount of chip value, such as 500$ in chips each, and play until only top 3 remain? That is usually how tourny play works...if you are doing actual 25/50$ blinds, that could potentially make each hand worth over 1K. I was in Vegas last weekend playing 15/30, potsizes were anywhere from 600-900 per round depending on the rest of the table. You get AA on deal in a 2-4 or 4-8 game and raise max, everyone will still bet against you, in a 15/30 game you get AA and bet/raise on 15/30, you'll see 80% of the table fold...that aspect of the game is totally removed from low limit games, it's why I call them luck games. -y2 We've done both. The 25-50 game is a fast hour. And the pot has been up to $700 a few times. Usually only 4 or 5 guys play in that one. The other way (between $85 and $150 buy in) is a game when there are 15 or 16 people and several hours to kill.
  13. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) I don't see a difference. A slap on the hand or butt for playing with a lighter is a far stretch from swatting at will for a child intentionally spilling their glass of milk. That was an exact situation that happened with my neice. She got a time out for spilling the milk.. she spilled the milk again the next night at dinner.. but has yet to touch another lighter..
  14. QUOTE(Y2HH @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 04:46 PM) 3-6 is a luck game, and low money no limit is also a luck game, becomes only about drawing people to bet against you, who usually will only call a low money bet, preventing a raise in an attempt to draw out a weak hand. 15-30 is bare minimum requirement to play real games, otherwise it becomes the cards you're dealt and nothing more. You can't bluff a person out of a 12$ raise, but you sure as hell can in a 15-30 game. -y2 I've never played in a 3-6 or a 15-30 game... we have tournements at our house and start the blinds at 25-50 and raise them every deal a round. I never have, but Jim's played at the boats. I usually play blackjack.
  15. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 04:36 PM) no, but if you feel like drivin go to trump in indiana they have a pretty decent poker room, good 3-6 and a really good no-limit on thursdays Empress in Joliet is supposed to be opening a room in April. I hate that boat to play blackjack.. but if the room is decent we'll probably go.
  16. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 04:15 PM) Baj in now. SS'der probably having a fit on the train that he can't be in front of the TV at this moment..
