  3. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 10:36 PM) Steff are you guys tailgating?? I'm hoping to convince my parents to let me miss the whole day of school so I can get down there early. Not that you invited me but I'd love to meet some of you guys. I'm sure something will come together.. it always does. And there's no need for an invite... most are welcome...
  4. QUOTE(Mr. Zero @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 09:54 PM) I got my tickets a few days ago. I'd imagine yours will soon. Zero.. are you planning on tailgating that day?
  5. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 10:22 PM) The link I read must be from something else --- It was about some kids imitating jackass. 1 kid died -- Here's some other info I found... http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthrea...40&pagenumber=1 You don't wanna read the whole thraed.... Basically, he lived, Broken jaw, lost teeth, messed up his eye ... The kids were from Hammond IN.... Some kids imitated the dingbat in the video...? Their parents must be so proud. :headshake
  6. QUOTE(DumpJerry @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 11:11 AM) Minnie Plan holders do NOT have the post season option. Oh well...
  7. QUOTE(th0mas35 @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 09:00 AM) Do fans that buy one of the 9 or 15 game plans get priority after the full season ticket holders for playoff games? i'm optimistic : ) and do you thinkt he upperbox tickets for either one of those plans is worth it? I've never been up there. After full season ticket holders it's 27 game holders, then I would assume the 13 game holders, then the 9 game holders. Personally I like the UD boxes. We have lower full season but when we need extras I usually get them up there in the first 8 rows because you can see everything. To be honest.. I would sit in the furthest corner in the last row with obstructed view if the Sox made the playoffs!!

    U2 fans?

    QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 29, 2005 -> 10:34 AM) They did add a 3rd show in Chicago and we got great tickets That would make an awesome wedding gift... Just kidding... no real desire to see them.
  9. Hey guys.. bad news... I'm out of wristbands. But.. there's good news.. thanks to the overwhelming generosity of many of the posters who paid for them.. (including one person from WSI who paid $10 for ONE wristband to cover the cost of the shipping)... I am going to order more since I am still getting PM's for them. Over 60 people requested them!! So Monday morning I am going to order more for those of you that have PM'd me today I have you included in the re-order and you WILL be first to get them. So for anyone who wants them just PM me and as soon as you PayPal they will be mailed out. Same as before.. $2.76 per wristband, and then I wont be ordering anymore. Any $$ more than the $2.76 I will be donating back to the Sox Wives Food Drive as a Gift Card from Jewel in the name of Soxtalk and WSI. Thank you guys so much. And thank you also for all the kind words in your messages on your PayPal payments. If I get time (and I am going to try to) I am going to send all of you emails back personally thanking you.. I'm happy to do it, especially for you out of town Sox fans. I'm proud to be part of a group of such great people. And DBAHO... email me your address and I'll get one out to you. Don't worry about the shipping! Steff
  10. If your payment was made before 8:20 am this morning yours is in the mail.
  11. QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Jan 28, 2005 -> 02:47 PM) you still have one I can get my hands on? Yes, I do. I have 12 left a this moment.
  12. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 28, 2005 -> 01:31 PM) Yeah, that's exactly what I was getting at. I didn't really see a big turnout last year for Shingo. I know on the coasts, especially out west, Japanese players add to the attendance big time. I'd be curious to see some cencus stats. We split tickets by the Sox bullpen and it was interesting to see the number of fans out there watching Shingo.. mostly with cameras. They are silent as can be though. They just stand there and watch him and take pictures.
  13. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 28, 2005 -> 01:12 PM) I know there is a nice size Chinese population in this city, most of it lives near the park. Are there a lot of Japanese in Chicago? Is there a Japanese neighborhood....even in the burbs? I know there's many in the Western burbs.. but I don't know if I would call it a "neighborhood". It should be interesting to see if they come out to the park.

    WTF....

    QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 05:30 PM) Steff - go to your controls and then look down the column for "manage your attachments." There are likely many there - there were a bunch in mine that I didn't know I had. I had to delete them only a few at a time or it would time out. Holy sweet Jesus.. there was like 6 pages of them. I didn't know it saved them.. Hope there was nothing important.. I deleted them all. Thanks QP.

    QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 04:41 PM) That lasted till the end of the month when the bill came........800 GRAND! I s*** you not. Why the hell does it cost so much to make a damn phone call...??

  19. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 03:49 PM) Thank you. You're welcome guys. Also.. I ordered 20 more than the 29 that were requested in case others wanted more or didn't PM me before I placed the order. So I have plenty.

  21. QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 12:00 PM) So basically....if he didn't switch agents to BorASS....do you think he'd still be a Whitesock but for the right contract.....say a 1 year incentive deal, and if not a Whitesock then someone else for a 1 year deal??? If Maggs didn't hire Boras we'd be paying him a lot more than just on incentives because he would have signed the 5/70 deal. Hindsight is 20/20.. but I say thank you Boras!!
  22. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 12:33 PM) Another thing to consider is what will Willie's attitude be like if he is beaten out for the job and has to ride the bench yet again? Ever see "Problem Child"..? Remember the red headed beast..?
  23. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 12:25 PM) Frank's wife No.. she's already taken by a former Sox infielder..
  24. SB.. I'll just say this and you can take it how you wish.. Willie did some inappropriate things in the clubhouse. That's why he is on the s*** list. This isn't about having a bad day. It's about treating your teammates like s*** and disrespecting your employer. His behavior was the same in Baltimore.. the Sox gave him a chance. Didn't work out.
  25. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 12:01 PM) Steff, Okay I was told by some one who knows Walker... Which would make sense as Ozzie is the most vocal hater of Harris, so I would suspect all in his camp dislike Harris. Where as Walker was pre-Guillen. SB BJ and Sidney told me the day we got him that he was crapola..
