Gammons -God I hope he's wrong!
First of all.. and for - at least - the 8,436,201st time... Jerry doesn't NOT run the financial show. Jerry is the chairman. The voice. That's all. Second, it's none of my business what the Sox profit. We pay for our tickets to be entertained and to watch baseball. As for an "inferior" product.. I don't think the Sox suck half as bad as I see crying about it on this and other boards. I have no control over what other fans do.. and I certiantly wouldn't bother to waste my time b****ing and moaning about it.. :rolly Yes, we're ok with the way we spend our money on Sox tickets. Thanks for your concern.

Gammons -God I hope he's wrong!
Holy s***.. someone stop the presses... a group of people who bought a business and WANT it to be profitable..?? :rolly And Mike didn't say they weren't profitable. Why don't you read what's there instead of always spouting off about how Jerry is the anti-christ.

Message board friends...
The information of those that called the police was given to her daughter and I guess her daughter called a couple of them to thank them and said she is having tests done, but is responsive. An amazing story indeed.

Message board friends...
She just typed "help" and 3 or 4 of the posters who had her phone number called her house and got no answer. They could see that she was still on line, so they called the police. Freaky stuff...

It never hurts to hear an offer out, does it?
Jim and I would both love to be able to ride the train. Seriously.. driving, even just sitting in it, sucks so bad here these days. Not to mention the wear and tear on the car.

Message board friends...
This other board I visit - of which it's pretty tight like this one where many people know eachother off the board, but people are more spread out across the country - this morning about 3am a regular poster posted a message that was just "help". There are a few "sluths" there and they were right on it. The police and paramedics were called and it turns out that the poster suffered a stroke right there at her computer and could not move. Amazing story. I never would have believed it had I not been a part of that community. No real point here.. just thought I'd share the story.

It never hurts to hear an offer out, does it?
That's a regular occurance for both Jim and I. Most days (since we drive together) we have conversations and 10 minutes later we're like.. "holy crap.. we passed 83 already..?" Sometimes I nap and he's on the phone talking business.. but it's just such a s***ty drive. A few times in the past few weeks it's been over an hour and a half. Not looking forward to the winter weather at all. We're going to have to leave home at 5 to get here by 8.

When public transportation is not an option the view is a bit different, IMO. I would love to sit on a train and nap for an hour.. driving in it is an entirely different state of mind.

I would take a substantial pay cut for a job 5 minutes from home. The aggravation of traffic would be worth it for me.

ANOTHER motorcycle crash
There's an actual turn from 126 onto County Line. Then it goes all the way past to Shorewood and IIRC even past Montgomery possibly all the way to Iowa. And I'd bet it's all private property along the way so the cops never go out that way unless the residents call for one. I know right our place they do 70 easy.. I can just imagine how fast they go once their past Joliet.

ANOTHER motorcycle crash
I don't know what happened - because I have not seen anything about it - but Saturday night they had County Line road by our house all blocked off. By the time we got there - about 4 in the morning - all that was left was 3 cops and a bike on it's side. It's bad over there since all the property is private (so the cops don't have anywhere to hide to do radar) so people speed like crazy down Indian Boundry and County Line. I'm surprised there are not more accidents around there.
