- Broken hip....
Zing!!! Actually I think it's the femur (thigh bone..?) that's the strongest.- Steroid Allegations
Yea... I KNOW!! That was a messed up day. Definitely could have been handled differently. Is that the actual thread that got the 3 Musketeers banned..? I thought there was another one...?- Broken hip....
I hope my grama has the mindset like your great-gram. How in the heck did a 28 year old break their hip...? Isn't the hip the strongest bone in the body?- Broken hip....
Thanks eye. She's been depressed since my grampa passed away and I just have a bad feeling that this will put her even more in the dumps. She's still very active and the thought of her being bedridden isn't a good one...- Broken hip....
Just found out my grama in Florida fell and broke her hip at dialysis this morning. She's 75...- Steroid Allegations
Remember the... "ignorant (as in not understanding)".. comment.. And no.. you're not 1 of the 3. I don't think we've ever PM'd..- Steroid Allegations
Sad memories... It's that thread which I feel put the rift between Flash and I....- Favorites
- Pity Party Post (for myself)
Fan... you guys sit down and pick the date you want. If someone else has it.. oh well. It's your day and all that matters is that YOU and BRIAN are happy. Those important to you guys and important to your lives will be there to support you and make your day. That's all that matters. Of course.. if this hassle get to be too much.. tie his ass up and hop on a plane to Vegas.- Favorites
I can't help it.. but I'm actually afraid to comment on this... When I came here what seems like forever ago.. I ran into folks I have posted with for years from WSI, MLB.Com and the Rivals boards. RPS, killa, Jason, Heads, HSC, baggs, etc, etc.. It was so much fun. We agreed, disagreed, got into heated debates... nothing like it is today. I have never come here to cause another poster harm, post lies about them, attack their sexuality, profession, religious beliefs, etc, etc... I post my opinions on the Sox and occasionally info I get. That used to be OK. These days.. it's attacked. How many of us remember when Michelle posted about Koch and how she was thanked... today... I feel she would be burned at the stake for posting that information - something we all know she would NOT tolerate. I post how I post... am I rough around the edges.. I guess so. I never came here to make friends, however luckily I have made some great ones. Some folks before I met them I thought they were complete assholes. Since I met them I see that it's stupid to make an assumption based on someone's words on a message board. I'm sorry if the way I post offends folks. I'm sorry that I get to the point. Frankly, I don't see the point in pussyfooting around an opinion or comment. It's a message board. Folks will disagree, folks will not like your opinions, points, comments, etc.. so what? I've had my issues with 3 people here... called them on it.. and resolved it. If those 3 folks choose to, they can comment on the "big bad person" I am perceived to be. I could be wrong (and welcome them telling me so) but I don't think they will agree. And those that think I am a b**** (and trust me... those comments get around) because of the way I post yet have never, EVER had a personal interaction with me.. so be it. If you choose to waste your time "hating" go nuts. I don't hate anyone here. Don't have time. I don't see myself, or anyone else, as a "favorite". If I am liked by folks here based on the things I do for them off the board then I welcome that. Offer extra tickets, rides to the park, beers in the bar, invites to my home for a card game or a weekend party... that's the real me. If there are people here who choose to make statements (again, trust me.. those comments get around) about me based on the words I post rather than the person I am... that's their business and their cross to bear. I'm sorry if that sounds rude.. but it's the way it is. I don't feel I'm given any "special" treatment by anyone here. No one knows what is said off the board or in PM's. And to question mods abilities is bulls***. Don't like the way they deal with things here.. then don't post here. I could go on and on and post my interactions with the mods regarding the s*** that's happened over the past month here and those of you that think I'm being favored would eat your words. If you don't like me or my posts.. don't comment on them. If you choose to have an opinion on me based on my straight to the point posting.. then don't comment to me. It's that easy. I'd rather invite anyone who has an issue with me to PM me and confront me.. but hey.. that's your choice. It's that easy to resolve and issue before a misunderstanding becomes something more. That's me. Take it or leave it..- More idiots...
You may have heard about this new bride who was a bit embarrassed to be known as a honeymooner. So when she and her husband pulled up to the hotel, she asked him if there was any way that they could make it appear that they had been married a long time. He responded, "Sure. You carry the suitcases!" ----------- IDIOTS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD: We live in a semi-rural area. We recently had a new neighbor call the local township administrative office to request the removal of the Deer Crossing sign on our road. The reason: "too many deer were being hit by cars" and he didn't want them to cross there anymore. IDIOTS IN FOOD SERVICE: My daughter went to a local Taco Bell and ordered a taco. She asked the person behind the counter for "minimal lettuce." He said he was sorry, but they only had iceberg. IDIOT SIGHTING I was at the airport, checking in at the gate when an airport employee asked, "Has anyone put anything in your baggage without your knowledge?" To which I replied, "If it was without my knowledge, how would I know? " He smiled knowingly and nodded, "That's why we ask." IDIOT SIGHTING The stoplight on the corner buzzes when it's safe to cross the street. I was crossing with an intellectually challenged coworker of mine when she asked if I knew what the buzzer was for. I explained that it signals blind people when the light is red. Appalled, she responded, "What on earth are blind people doing driving?!" IDIOT SIGHTING At a good-bye luncheon for an old and dear coworker who was leaving the company due to "downsizing," our manager commented cheerfully, "This is fun. We should do this more often." Not a word was spoken. We all just looked at each other with that deer-in-the-headlights stare. IDIOT SIGHTING I work with an individual who plugged her power strip back into itself and for the life of her couldn't understand why her system would not turn on. IDIOT SIGHTING When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver's side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked. "Hey," I announced to the technician, "It's open!" To which he replied, "I know - I already got that side." NOW DON'T YOU FEEL BETTER? - What happens when you pass out...
