I didn't live in a dorm.. but a girlfriend of mine went to Eastern and I helped her move. After we got all her crap in we went to get something to eat. When we came back a few hours later a pipe had bursted in the wall and several rooms were flooded and everything ruined. That sucked for her.

Second, my perception is that the :fyou smiley is most often used between friends on the board. Third, even when it isn't used between friends, sometimes telling someone to f*** off, directly and to their face (as much as possible on a message board), is appropriate. Telling a member of the board to f*** off based on something stupid they said in the body of a post is completely different (IMHO) from saying it in the title of a thread that everyone visiting the board can see straight off. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that it shouldn't be used. I don't mean this as harsh as it is going to sound but... go start your own board and see how many people decide to stay and play by your rules. Ugh.. there you go.. all the way to the extreme. And I didn't say it shouldn't be used. Don't put words in my mouth... And OMG.. alert the media.. but I understand your logic.
