Ah the suburbs, the land of success and civility. I love how school administrators try to distance themselves from this. Glenbrook North is probably in the top ten or 15 high schools in the state of Illinois in terms of student achievement. They're gonna have a hard time explaining this away however. I went back to school as an adult and got a degree and teaching certificate. Never got beyond subbing. When I see stuff like this I don't regret it for a minute. In the state..?? More like the nation. They have a 97% college acceptance. Which is why it's making such media waves. I went to St Xavier with a girl that graduated from there.. I had to work 2 jobs to pay for what the grants, scholarships, and loans didn't pay for. She barely went to class, lived on campus, and had a nice convertable BMW. F'ing b****.. I hope she's barefoot and pregnant and living on welfare right now! People who don't appreciate s*** should have to live without for 6 months before they can enter the "real world".

Wooo Hooo.. Page 2 now baby!!

Luckily this is getting national attention and they hopefuly wont get off with a slap on the wrist. I was a cheerleader.. we saw some minor "hazing" on the football team but it was nothing like this. And it was guys. Not that it makes it right.. but at least they were tough and knew upfront there would be no "beating". One time guys had to stand in their underwear in the snow and have cold water poured on them and stand there for 10 minutes.

Tried to send him to Baltimore too.

I'm kinda torn. What happened was insane, but on the other hand the Juniors PAID TO BE THERE. Where does their responsibility begin? Saw an interview with one of the juniors that escaped a beating and she read excerpts the "form" that they had to sign and nowhere on there did it say... "you might possibly be hit over the head with a bat, strangled with pig intestines, doused with uring, smeared by s***, forced to eat fish guts and or drink paint thinner.... " IMO.. no prom for those identified on the video as the ones assulting. No graduation ceremonies either. Charged with A&B.. and the one with the baseball bat.. possibly attempted murder. If this had happened at the Dan Ryan Woods they'd already be sentencing them.

Guys.. any thoughts on the "powderpuff" football game gone wrong this past weekend? Do you agree the senior girls should be prosecuted?
-
Not specifically in this thread. Just bringing up the talks from last year.

May 26th or 31st. I am assuming HSC is talking about meeting at the same bar in Hoffman Estates. I will get off my ass and update this tonight. http://www.reapers-baseball.com I have been lazy and the schedule, content, and stats are way out of date. Plus, the site itself needs a lot of aesthetic improvements now that I have learned some new stuff. You and HSC should come down for a game. (Lots of single guys that like baseball HSC). We suck horribly, but hey if you can sit and watch the Sox lately, you can survive one of our games. After the games we go to Vaughans and drink. It's a dingy old southside Irish bar with plenty of local drunks on hand. I'd be up for coming to see a game. Sounds like fun! Which bar in Hoffman Estates? I remember something on the MLB boards a while ago about you guys all getting together.. am I close? Am I invited...?

Honestly.. I didn't understand a word you said LOL... Where are you moving to?

But that was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. When he finally gave up and walked away I was lmao!

Bla, bla, bla, yadda, yadda, yadda... Teamate ex-wife f***er = cancer Wife beater = cancer Quiet and wants to be left alone does not = cancer I met Everett in Boston during the AS game when it was there.. he was pretty relaxed and easy going. People seemed pretty comfortable with him. Him and Nomar were pretty tight. Nomar is hardly the type to hang with someone who's bad news. JMO though.

Ugh! Didn't you read what HSC wrote..?? :finger

Ehem... attention everyone... Great.. now that I have your attention, cause I don't want you to miss my choice, as it will be a complete and utter surprise.... My vote goes to................................................. Ray Durham

I got to hear a replay of this interview, which was live yesterday. Kenny was very complacent and calm. Making not specific statements.. but general "it's everyone's fault" comments. This is not the KW I've seen and heard. KW makes no quams about pointing fingers and assigning blame. This was a man very much minding his P's & Q's. I, like HSC, have complete faith in the things I have been told (the specific details were just way to blatently identical combined with the fact that I know for sure that her sources and mine definitely do NOT talk ). IMO, Kenny is setting the stage. Calm, cool, and rational... then when the announcement is made he'll feed a line of BS like.. "I am not satisfied with my performance... bla, bla, bla.." combined likely with family issues (even though that was mentioned in the interview.. his mom in law really does have some issues). I was told end of the week yesterday. We'll see what happens.
