Show me where I said "ALL Sox fans". You didn't. My apologies. However, you are still an asshole who spewes nothing but bulls*** out of that ignorant mouth of yours on matters not specific to baseball stats.

All that from being out in 50 degree weather? And they say us Californians can't handle the "cold". It wasn't 50 moron. With the wind chill it was nearer to 30. Combined with the rain it was a very s***ty night to be out there.

:fyou And when I get over the earache, sore throat, 102 fever, and runny nose I'll say more. Asshole. Obviously, illness is a legitimate excuse. I thought that went without saying, but apparently not. Saying "it's too cold" is what will keep the Sox payroll the same for 2004 as it is in 2003 -- and Sox fans will have only themselves to blame for it. I think what she is saying (and I might be wrong steff) is that she GOT that from going last night... No, you're right. A little common sense, and reading comprehension goes a long way.

I was referring to you comment "ALL Sox fans in Chicago should be ashamed". Stupid comment. Go figure. I WAS there. That's why I'm sick. :fyou

And for the record.. it was 43 at game time. Wins near 28 mph from the north. And a threat of rain, which it did at one point.

Unless it rains . As for the mope being a Cub fan, take this for what it's worth..... Steve Dahl, on 105.9 WCKG, read a news item attributed to ESPN where the dickweeds fiance stated that her soon-to-be-husband is a Cubs fan She was on the news as well.

My bet is that the league would back the Royals decision and the game would not be called a forfeit My bet is MLB will demand a security plan which has probably been written and submitted already and the game will be played, perhaps tonight in the most intense security ever. If a forfeit were to happen, we'd take the loss, on that I would bet everything. As home team we have to priovide a safe and secure environment. If we can't, then we lose, not the visitor. According to my rep the Sox, umps, and the head of security have already agreed the park is safe. If KC refuses to play they get the loss.

Koch.. it happens more than you think. Ya just don't hear about it. Happened twice in Detroit last week. Happened at San Frans home opener. Happened during the blizzard at OP@CY on their opening day. Did you hear about any of those..?? Uh, they didn't attack coaches and or umps did they? Getting on the field in general is bad, but there's a difference between just wanting to run on the field and between attacking someone. We've made headlines with these two incidents, those other ones were swept under the rug obviously. Alright, first of all.. they guy last night did NOT attack anyone. He ran up to the ump and BEFORE he did anything the ump took him down. His own words are in the Sun-Times if you don't believe me. And second.. yes, those incidents were swept under the rug. Get my point..? Yes he did attack the ump!!! If he went right up to him, that's enough! There's a huge difference between running around the outfield and going up to someone go cause harm; it doesn't matter if the guy took him out right away or how many punches were thrown, it's the fact that he went right after the ump, he wasn't running around for the helluva it. The reason they were swept under the rug was because no one was attacked. I'd like to see you explain why this is such a big deal if no one was "attacked" or at least clearly targeted. We've had 2 of these now. It should be a BIG DEAL EVERY TIME IT HAPPENS!!! No matter if anyone is touched, attacked, approached or not. Do you get it now? By the way.. were you at the game last night?

His finance was on TV saying so and he had a Cubs hat on.

No s***!! By the way HSC.. Was I slurrin last night.. LOL

Oh this is too funny. Seems #4 was not only there with his fiance, but also with his future in-laws. He admitted to "celebrating" the Cubs victory earlier in the day - not clear if he was actually at the game or a bar or at home. I bet this is one wedding where they will be asking for the deposit back. I wonder if his boss saw him on the news this morning to see him getting put into the back of a squad car, covered in his own blood.

cw.. I never said it was bad. I know how bad it can be. Hell... I saw several of the guys here lit up on opening day . As for the Sox being sued.. I've asked my lawyer friends about this and they say no. They gave me a bunch of reasons but I don't remember any of them

was all beer half off too? It wasn't half off, but you have to figure they have more money for beer when it is only half price to get in. Steff, why not cut someone off before they have 20+ beers and act like an asshole? Is there a point to going to a game just to see how wasted you can get? Isn't this what we accuse cub fans of doing? Yeah, I know ....bla bla bla. I like to drink a bit too, but it's ridiculous having all these people out there loaded. If you want that, go to a bar. How do you control it? The only way is to have designated areas for the vendors and make them responsible. That isn't going to happen. Never. What needs to happen is 2 things.. One, a better security presence. . Security in the bullpens should be up and being seen and not sitting on their fat asses downing hot dogs. And it never fails when I walk up to use the bathroom there are 4 or 5 cops guarding the funnel cake vendor. And it's not a girl or even a cute guy. These guys are just plain lazy. Walk around and eat that funnel cake. Lord knows they could use the exercise. And 2 no matter how many fans are there (or not) there NEEDS to be ticket checkers, ushers that walk the aisles. Yes.. they are not security, but people think twice when someone of any authority is there.
-
Limit the beer, limit the beer.. bla, bla, bla... How about just prosecute the assholes that can't handle themselves? How about they take responsibility for themselves? The Sox and the beer vendors, are not babysitters. The should NOT be held responsible. They should NOT be punished. JMO, of course.
-
I know the last guy to jump out onto the field and just run around got his ass kicked good by the security because he tried to struggle with them. I watched one of the biggest security guards put a kneedrop onto his head at one point to subdue him. Actually he got quite a nice cut on his head, above the eye it looked like. He was full of blood when he left the park.
-
Or maybe the asshole fans that can't tolerate 2 games in 1 day should stay home??? It's not the beer's fault. Or the Sox. Nor is it their responsibility. It's the dumbass who's drinking the beer.
-
Bingo!!!
-
The security guards were still in the tunnel when we went down to the bar and had it. That's when I saw it.
-
The fan that approached the ump was wearing a Cub hat. And the one before him was wearing a Wood jersey. Guess the double header drink fest was a bit too much for them. Where did you see that at Steff? I haven't seen anything in the papers or pictures... I saw the hat on his head. And the one before him was swinging the jersey around over his head. Did they show them on TV? They usually don't and I didn't set the PVR to record last night.
-
Maybe you need to re-read the thread. No one was making a joke.
