What the hell is wrong with you? Be anti-French all you like, but this is getting idiotic. Oh double.. give him some slack. He's only 15.

BECAUSE IT'S THEIR RIGHT. Oh for the love of God... move on.

it was kinda wierd watching it all unfold on tv..its a good thing though...people need to see whats going on as much as possible so campaigns of disinformation on both sides cant be made.. im interested to find out how accurate these missiles really are...how far our technology has come...want to make sure they all hit the right targets and not civilian buildings... i find it interesting we didnt take out any power plants.,,people in baghdad can watch this too...thats gotta be really wierd.. My uncle said they can get within a meter of the intended target. That's 100000% better than the last ones. Technology, eh?

No.. I did not. Read my post again. And obviously the reps have conflicting info because I was told new season ticket holders got them by lottery and HSC's said it was by the amount of the games.
-
Soxfest, I hope your dad has that in writing because in the season ticket holder letter and in an announcement at Soxfest ONLY those with packages prior to 2001 (might be 99, I don't have the letter with me at work) were GUARANTEED AS tickets - and a lottery for the others. If you don't believe me have him contact his rep. As a matter of fact I have been in conversations with both Brad Dreher and Chris Stravrianos (ticket reps) regarding trying to solidify our seats and they are unsure at this point where we will get them. The account has been open for several seasons. was this not your info??? hence the reason i directed to you...... everyone who bought ticket packages this year, are guarenteed a.s. tickets....the only lottery folks are those with the cheap packages (weekends only ect.).......new full season tickets and those with the 25 game packages are going to the all star game for sure.....and those 25 games were the majority of the new packages sold for this year thus far..........i asked my guy......we all know the attendance thing is gonna be the same wether we sell alot or not.....i feel that those 25 game folks bought cause they and the full season were guarenteed a sure in.........they wont be attending many games......lots of blue to fill once again...... And like I said.. I refrenced the AS game being a draw and the lottery. You kinds just repeated my information.. except you specified that it was the lower game season purchasers that are in the lottery. I was told something different (from ticket reps) but oh well. Perhaps they have conflicting info. And what's this 25 game package? Only 27 games according to Brad and Chris.

CNN (I did not see it myself - just passing this along) reporting that Saddam was injured in the blast and that his son Uday (sp?) was killed. Haven't seen anything on any websites yet though..

another correction...16 total..12 british special commandos...4 US aviator crew.. one of the advantages of serving at nato is you have units from all the nato coutries there...as a reward for winning a soldiers board i got to train with a british cammando unit as a guest for one week..those guys were cool..3 US soldiers were there ..their commander made sure we ahd everything we needed...we got to go through alot of thier training and i have to say they are very good soilders...very professional...and when they get time off man can they party...thats were i learned the alternate meaning of the word "f**"..the brits always get a kick out of asking an american , "you got a f**" ..in england a f** is a cigerette those were 12 special soldiers along with the 4 marine aviators who probably have the most dangerous missions in this war...those choppers are up to 40 years old that the marines use..its time to update that equipment for their sake and anyone they transport. my thoughts and prayers go out to those brave men and their families.. Whoops.. sorry baggs I didn't see your reply before I replied

msnbc is reporting 12 US, 4 brits..mechanical failure Sun-Times and Fox News reports 12 Brits and 4 Americans.

That just helps... The more people down there, whether or not they're 100% behind the anti-war sentiments, just makes a bigger crowd... The whole world is watching. Yeaaaahhhh.. Like how it looks when Wrigley is filled Kinda like how when something happens in the neighborhood and the news manages to find the dumbest, ugliest, toothless ignorant half dressed person, with rollers in their hair, that uses the word "aint" 12 times in one sentence, to interview as an "expert" on the situation I'd rather have 1000 intelligent protesters than 5000 dumbasses out there. It was national news for Pete's sake. And there behind Peter Jennings were idiots waving to the camera and talking on cell phones... Idiots.
-
4 Americans dead in the chopper crash. 1 American killed by enemy fire. And to protest is their right. They are protesting the war.. is there not a war going on?
-
cw.. I really don't mean to bust your bubble here.. but according to several people I know that were down there (trying to leave from work) maybe half were sincere in their demonstrating. Once the news camera showed up the crowd tripled in size and it seemed everyone behind the first 1000 or so were on their cell phones calling people to see if they were on TV. Not saying there weren't a lot of legit people.. but a lot were also there just to be seen.

This is so ridiculously stupid... The U.S. has roughly 5% of the world's population (275,000,000 of 6,500,000,000). Whether or not you like to believe it, if it was a case of the world vs. the US, we would get whooped. Unfortunately, until we have a population to rival India's we sort of have to play along with everyone 'cuz we all live on this planet. We got into all this mess because we thought we could do whatever the hell we wanted. "ridiculously stupid" ?? That was extremely nice of you

Yeah.. we've played God on several occasions. But without the UN collectively we'd be screwed. If it was us against everyone else... might as well just bend over and apply some of that KY right now.

HSC.. I don't see anywhere where anyone is talking about actual attendance. I DID agree it has to do with the AS Game. And I DID mention the lottery in my post. So I guess I'm a bit confused as to why you posted to me regarding this... As for how long we've had season tickets.. my grandparents (which I've paid since my grandparents retired in 1992 so I call them mine ) 34 years, mine and Jim's partner 5 years (I might be a year off on this one..)

New packages bought this year are NOT even guaranteed AS tickets. Next....

If you think JR has done everything possible to win throughout the span of his ownership..... more power to you. If that's your opinion then there is nothing I could post here that will change your mind. Who's talking about the span of his ownership? Aren't we talking about the 2003 season and this current off-season? Don't pull further BS tactics such as changing the subject. If you want to be Chairman of the Jerry Reinsdorf Ass-Licking Commitee no one here's going to stop you. How about addressing the topic and replying to the replies to the posts that you made and not tossing insults?

Not to mention season ticket sales here are UP 20%. Might be a good idea to get informed.. Maybe you should realize that much of the increase is due to the White Sox hosting the All-Star Game. Ticket brokers have been buying chunks of season tickets for the SOLE PURPOSE of obtaining premier All-Star Game and festivities tickets. As for JR doing everything he can do to win..... . While Colon was a good pick-up, and I did give both him and KW credit for making that happen, there are still holes at C, 2B (nobody knows how DJ is going to fare and his back-up is Harris), and CF. Three ?-marks at nine fielding positions hardly shows a committed desire to do EVERYTHING possible to win..... especially when Kent, IRod, Cruz, etc. were available. I realize that MANY everyday Joe's bought ticket packages. The ticket reps would know if it was brokers (names on the accounts, address and charge records) and according to ours it has been mostly individuals. The largest sales increase was the Sox 7.. why would brokers waste their time with those packages? They wouldn't. And new season ticket holders are not even GUARANTEED seats as of yet. And yes I'm sure it's increased because of the AS Game, but again, and back to my point.. why the shot at Jerry? You honestly think he doesn't want to win?

I am not a veteran, though I regret that decision today. I agree with this statement. Not everyone is "able" to.
-
Agree..but didn't want LDF to think I don't like him. LOL... LDF's got nerves of steel
-
Really..? He said (paraphrasing) "Bush just committed a war crime... etc" Sounds to me like it was post attack. I do however think it was a double. Saddam is waaaaay out of the zone by now, IMO.
-
Yeah, really...I'd attribute the 20% increase (I too didn't know that...definitely good news) to fans seeing that the Sox want to win with the Bartolo acquisition. I remember when I heard about that trade. I couldn't believe it. Definitely gave me high hopes for '03. i think the point yansy is trying to make is if the sox goes out and gets the talent to win, the fans will come and i agree with the assessment. but if he doesn't resign colon and the sox stay pat, the success they had with the fans coming out will be short live. Sorry LDF, don't get that from the post. Looked like a shot because we haven't won. No disrespect.. JMO.
