QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Mar 25, 2007 -> 05:06 PM) What was he yelling? I walked away for a moment. He was trying to see how long he could keep a scream going before AAAnderson's guaranteed out. -

re: the Screamer... Hey at least he provided some entertainment beyond: which infielder will AAAnderson ground out to? -

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 25, 2007 -> 04:36 PM) Sorry, I need to rant a bit. I hate the feeling I have about Mark, but I just have such a bad taste in my mouth after the performance he gave in the 2nd half of the season last year, and him following that up with this s*** spring hasn't helped my view of him. There is a LONG laundry list of reasons why we tanked the 2nd half of the season last year, but for me, Mark is on the top of the list. He just let me down so much last season, I really have this built up hatred for him,and I hate having it. He seems like a great guy, and a great clubhouse guy, but the performance has just not been there, and on top of that, there is the contract discussion. Here's a thought, pitch better than a number 5 starter, and maybe you will get your money. I am so sick of hearing about what Mark is worth, his agent comparing him to Zito and Meche. STFU, and get a ERA under 4.99, then you can talk. Oh don't apologize. I'm spooked too. I've not seen a pitcher go over a cliff like he did last year so I wonder if something really, really key broke/changed/wore out. I agree with you that as Buehrle goes, the Sox go. -

Bingo there was number three. Our top three are 0-7. Make that 0-8. -

Hey Greg be specific... I'm listening too and trying to figure out how Hawk's spinning this. -

Hey Buehrle's my favorite no doubt. I hope he has a great year. -

Oh crap Uribe down. Looks like he twisted his knee slipping on turf. All clear he shook it off. Phew. -

Okay I see what you guys are talking about with Buehrle now; he's hunched over before he starts his windup. Yup, that's new. I wonder why he's doing that. -

I notice that Buehrle's topping out at about 86. Or is he like that every ST? -

LOL I agree Kalapse. He's already annoying me. His comments about "Good shape to get another ring" the other day were mock-worthy. -
I think Rowand and Thomas jerseys are classics; I would still wear one proudly. Same with Ventura. I got a nice 2004 All-Star jersey--beautiful--with Loaiza's name on it. Two weeks later he was gone. Whoever got McCarthy... I was this/close to that being my jersey for this year 'cause I figured hey: he's gonna be with us a while, right? Oops.
-
So Logan made the bullpen staff?
-
I think a Rowand jersey will never go out of style. BTW I like what I saw of Erstad today. The team seeems to like him. Jon Garland spoke highly of him in the booth. Speaking of which, have they been doing that all ST? I was startled that after pitching, there he was, on the air with Hawk & DJ. Cool.
-
I can live with this. I was thinking: "Maybe I should get his name on a jersey--I like that name." Then reality fell on me like a piano--WTF was I, thinking? (from a guy who bought a Loaiza jersey two weeks before he was traded). But hey at least we can stop talking about it now and move on to more important things, like bring Rowand back... J U S T K I D D I N G.... //dives for cover
-
Crap. Bases loaded, 2 outs, 5 straight balls from Sisco. ...but he gets out of the jam. Inning over.
-
Garland is apparently doing his 2006 Javy Vasquez impersonation.
-
I don't believe it... et tu, smallball? Where ya been for a year? BTW classic Hawk wisdom: "Ozzie knows better than anyone if we don't beat ourselves, we have a good chance at another ring." Pfft. Isn't it time for your bathroom break about now?
-
LOL. Somebody flip the "Ozzieball" switch!
-
I'm unclear why anybody thinks it's not gonna be Danks. Ozzie loves the guy.
-
Hey why waste such good liquor. I know: let's pour one of the new $6.50 beers on the concourse in his name.
-
LOL. No. Just must be a slow day.
