  1. Zambrano is sleeping in his bed and A.J. sneaks in and scotch-tapes one of his eyebrows off. LOL! The tagline was something like "LET THE RIVALRY BEGIN!"
  2. Just saw it. LMAO. I liked those ads last year, particularly the one wear Jenks wakes up that kid and then runs down the hall yelling "Sox RULE!" This is pretty good.
  3. Right?!?!? Man these Cooperstown jerseys are all like $250. No wonder I can never find one on Ebay because NOBODY APPARENTLY BUYS ONE. Although they are having a 20% off sale so it's $200. I dunno, it's pretty sweet...
  4. I really, REALLY like this; haven't seen it before. 1960. http://shop.mlb.com/product/index.jsp?prod...rentPage=family I've been trying to get a 1959 jersey for two years now with no luck. Ebay has none, and whitesox.com doesn't have my size. But THIS is cool, no?
  5. Guys it's spring training. I'd rather have them get all their sucking out of the way out in Arizona rather than, say, after the ASB last year.
  6. QUOTE(Allsox @ Mar 9, 2007 -> 12:53 PM) Have you seen Eddie Van Halen lately? Wish I put him in my Dead Pool cuz he won't be around much longer: Eddie And the Sox have no room for Rowand anywhere! I'd rather see BA out there snagging flyballs and learning how to hit more cuz Rowand ain't getting any better! Eddie went into rehab this week--THANK GOD--so there's still hope for him yet. Let's hope it takes this time.
  7. I can understand the reasons for and against wanting Rowand back here but I do take exception to people who claim he was not a clubhouse presence and didn't bring that "chemistry" to the team. Rowand was the epitome of "grinder"--remember that term?--in '05 and it sure seemed that when he was gone, we went from being a team of proud "grinders" to a team with some sort of sense of entitlement, that didn't hustle like the '05 team. I think he contributed more than people are giving him credit for. Just my two cents...
  8. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 8, 2007 -> 11:06 AM) Who is the fourth guy in that graphic? Is that Wolverine? Did we pick him up in the Rule 5 or something? LMAO! I was thinking the same thing. Okay first, maybe, second, uh-huh, third, okay... fourth... is... that....?
  9. I'm up in the air about Ozzie sometimes after last year but let's be realistic. In three years: 1st year: second place finish 2nd year: World Series Champions after 88 years 3rd year: won 90 games, but only good for third Now, I hear the Ozzie criticism from last year and can't disagree with a lot more knowledgeable people here about how he's mismanaged games. But I'm not exactly hearin the footsteps here, if you get what I'm sayin...
  10. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 7, 2007 -> 11:44 AM) The useless jersey club is a pretty awesome one which includes: Damaso Marte, Billy Koch and Joe Borchard. So don't feel too bad. LOL! Even I've been burned by that. Yes indeed. I have my 2004 All-Star Game jersey featuring... Loaiza. It arrived in the mail literally one week after he was traded. Although: thank God I never did get that Takatsu jersey I wanted! And prior to '06 I was this/close to getting a... McCarthy jersey. Phew. So far I seem safe with my A.J. WS jersey. Back to topic. WHat a wonderful, wonderful surprise it would be to see Buehrle resigned when we all assumed he was gone for sure. That would be a nice start to '07.
  11. Either way I would love to see Mark re-signed. He's Mr. Sox to me.
  12. Excellent article. Kinda gets ya fired up, doesn't it? Hilarious quote from Graffanino...
  13. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Mar 6, 2007 -> 08:52 AM) When Konerko hits a dong off of Zambozo in the interleague games, he should stand at the plate and scream "NICE PITCH CUPCAKE" and then jog around the bases. When he comes to home plate, he should do a point to the sky, then a double tap for the sosa memory. That should put bozo into such a rage that he immediately pisses his pants. LMFAO! You win the thread!
  14. LOL what is the second time this year already we've been through this?
  15. I have to admit boys: I'm tired of it. B-Mac was built up as the Starter of the Future by the Sox and we all were looking forward to seeing him realize that day. We knew he was a lifelong fan and was looking forward to living the dream. He gave us some solid outings, showed some flashes of brilliance, and definitely struggled as a mid-reliever last year. And now, after shockingly letting him go, for KW to subtly diss him and for Ozzie to be even more insulting... what kind of organization are they running there? If he didn't pan out the way you thought he would, fine: trade him and wish him the best. But this just seems so... bush league and petty. Ozzie's mouth was a kick the first two years but now I'm really wishing he would STFU. And I was 100% behind brining Ozzie here to manage.
  16. Good for Herm. We owe the first half of 2005 to him. Here's to nothing but success.
  17. Good call Milkman--I remember that. That was scary.
  18. People rip on Uribe, but I for one rest comfortably knowing he's gonna be at that position. And he's in shape! Things are looking good...
  19. Vasquez always struck me as a guy one tweak away from total dominance. I don't know what that tweak is, but in the first five innings last year he would throw some nasty, nasty stuff. He's this/close. I just don't know what the fix is.
  20. Those of you who do go, please take photos and post them! I believe people did that last year and it was a kick.
  21. Oh don't get me wrong I don't go there to start trouble. All the trash-talking is between me and my Cub fan friends. Nothing serious. But seeing that I live five minutes away, you don't realize what a kick it is to see Wrigleyville overrun with people in Sox jerseys. LOL. You may even recall that last year I swear it was almost even between Cubs and Sox fans at the game. I guess what I'm saying is it's so FOREIGN to watch your team playing in a different stadium. Not unlike a road game, but with tons of Sox fans everywhere. Yes, it's meaningless but it's fun. It's a tradition. To your point about going to a Cubs game, yeah, when I go (rarely unless it's bleachers) I'm not a jerk. I just enjoy the day and clap politely for the Cubs. I just wear a Sox t-shirt underneath whatever I'm wearing.
