    woohoo, new episode tonight
  2. QUOTE(zenryan @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 01:15 PM) lol, have you watched this team at all this year against any lefthanded pitcher? this must be the first game you've watched all year I'm listening actually, like I have the entire year. And yes, I know we can't hit lefties, but is that any reason to give up on a team in the fourth f***ing inning? The game goes 9 innings and the Indians have an abysmal bullpen... it's not over yet.
  3. QUOTE(zenryan @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 01:10 PM) that the black and gray sunglasses off How is saying that its 1-0 (now 2-0) and still early in the game being a homer? Have you only watched baseball for a couple of week? The game is 9 innings for a reason. Things don't look good now, clearly, but its a long game.
  4. I think Singleton just said Jackie Robertson.
  5. Reading these posts would lead one to believe the score was 25-0 Indians. Guys, its 1-0. I know the offense hasn't looked good (well, I know they haven't sounded good), but the game is still incredibly early and we are down only one run.

I'm seeing Rush September 9th... really I can admit that I can't wait, and I'm not even a huge fan of theirs
  7. QUOTE(HeGone33 @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 07:21 PM) Its scary for other teams because you know the rest of the lineup is only going to get better Or at least most of them. By the same logic, we know that Juan and Pods are going to get worse
  8. Juan Uribe is our best hitter? God, that's scary to say.
  9. He related to Mark Teixeira? (although I suppose the name is spelled different)
  10. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 10:54 AM) People within the Chicagoland area don't fully appreciate Twins-Sox either, so I have that going for me. Yep, same here. My hatred for the Twins has jumped two-fold since moving here... ESPECIALLY my hating of Justin Morneau.
  11. No, not really. I have a friend upstairs from me thats a Cubs fan, so we "go back and forth" a couple times a day, but really, I couldn't care less about the Cubs and I don't know why people care so much. I'm sure it'll be different when I live in Chicago (which I plan on doing after college )
  12. Jermaine Dead no longer!
  13. "I don't need luck, I need more runs" -- Ozzie on the pregame show with Farmer
  14. Find your fastball before showing up tomorrow Bobby.
  15. So... Jenks doesn't have it tonight.
  16. Station identification right when AJ gets announced... a whole lotta boos
  17. MacDougal via Gameday (and Singleton)
  18. According to Farmer, the ball hit Pods in the batters box. If thats the case, crap call.
  19. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 10:43 PM) The object of the game is to score more runs than the other team. The beautiful thing about baseball is that it doesn't necessarily take a hit to score a run, but if you read the earlier post, this guy does seem to hit pretty well with runners on base. He's obviously contributing greatly to the offense without getting on base very much. At least he's driving someone in. Using your theory, if he gets on all the time, he's just going to be dependent on someone else driving him in. At least he's producing. Driving in 8 runs in a week is being a productive hitter, regardless of his batting average. Exactly the point. RBIs depend on other players, not just one (unless we're talking homeruns, obviously). Because of this, using them to evaluate how one player has done in the year doesn't make much sense.
  20. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 10:49 PM) But don't you know? we MUST ALWAYS have a backup catcher available!! No matter what is happening in the game. Just ask Ozzie Ask *any* manager, don't single this out on Ozzie.
  21. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 10:45 PM) What game did Aardsma do that? Second of the year: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=270404104
  22. QUOTE(shoota @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 10:40 PM) GARLAND GOES EL DUQUE ON THE As. Leadoff triple, sets the next three down without the runner scoring. SAC Actually, an "El Duque" would be Aardsma earlier this year, but yea, still a great job by Jon.
  23. Great job right there by Jon
  24. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 10:22 PM) WTF are you swinging at Uribe? A pitch which resulted in a hit and RBI?
