  1. I'm just concentrating on the AL Central. I'd love to see another AL Championship win, or World Series win, but as long as we win the Central, I can't complain.
  2. QUOTE(OilCan @ May 29, 2006 -> 07:29 PM) Is it a mental thing with Jonny right now? He has all-world talent...wonder why he's pulling a James Baldwin this year. One bad inning every game, the rest of the innings....all well, you know. He does?
  3. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 29, 2006 -> 05:38 PM) They're the #1 offense in baseball. It's not Coco they're missing. Not that it matters, but they have the second best offense, not first.
  4. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 29, 2006 -> 05:03 PM) We are 5th best in the bigs with 215 runs allowed. Is that the problem? No, its not, but our offense has been better than our pitching thus far this year. Its really hard to find problems when a team is 33-17 The only one that the Sox have is the lack of efficency in their bullpen, which is pretty important.
  5. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 29, 2006 -> 05:05 PM) Because .... Winning is what's most important. Period. If you dismiss win/loss percentage you are dismissing the difinitive stat. It's all about winning. So look at wins for the team, not the pitcher.
  6. QUOTE(G&T @ May 29, 2006 -> 04:54 PM) If Uribe gets on a hot streak then BA's problems will become no more than an annoyance. That would really help out. Even with Uribe and Anderson sucking thus far this year, our offense is 4th best in the bigs with 271 runs scored. Scoring runs isn't the problem this year.
  7. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 29, 2006 -> 04:48 PM) When you atlking percentage, you are talking wins and losses. A pitcher that totally sucks is not going to have a multiyear positive win percentage. Jaret Wright: 57-50, 5.17 ERA, 1.56 WHIP
  8. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 29, 2006 -> 03:46 PM) So because we are Sox fans, we can't say that Ozuna sucks defensively at 3rd base? That's embarrassing. What don't you get? Real fans aren't realistic. s***ty fans are. ..goddamn Indian fans..
  9. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 29, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) I'm glad Ozzie recognized that as the perfect situation for Widge to hit. Jim doesn't need to hit again, and if we are clearing out the bench, let Widge hit. In the rare chance AJ gets hurt, we'd lose the DH, but it shouldn't matter. Yea, its nice to see Widger get a shot to prove his worth QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 29, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) I never said you weren't a Sox fan, but so called fans who dump on their players when they are struggling are s***ty fans in my eyes. Not that it matters. Man, I'm a s***ty fan. How dare fans be realistic!
  10. QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 29, 2006 -> 03:43 PM) So says the man who is dumping on JG in his sig. Yep. I also had a sig with Aaron Rowand in it. I'm definitetly a Phillies fan, not a Sox one.
  11. QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 29, 2006 -> 03:36 PM) He's adequate. Not bad. But thanks for saying that. It needed to be said. You have so many good things to say about the players on the team that you are a fan of. Huh? He's not talking about the Indians, he's talking about the Sox.
  12. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 29, 2006 -> 03:02 PM) Sox now lead the majors in homers. They have for this entire game I believe.
  13. They are scared of BA.. 3 different pitchers in 3 different AB's
  14. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 29, 2006 -> 02:32 PM) So everytime a run goes against the tigers its the umps fault or luck. But when you are beating the other team its just the superiority of your team. I got it. LOL You realize thats exactly what people here (including myself) say when it happens to the Sox. Right?
  15. Does Iguchi's approach look any different to anyone? Maybe the shin brace is throwing me off, but he looks more balanced. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 29, 2006 -> 02:23 PM) JI JIM THOME
  16. I can't believe its only the third inning.
  17. That is a long fall after the rail.. isn't it usually shorter?
