  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:37 PM) Trust me when I say I'm not the only one who thinks this way.
  2. Look at how SSH isn't posting. He's probably cheering.. that goddamn Indians fan.
  3. Where is Brandon McCarthy? He's not Ross Gload, so why isn't he getting innings?
  4. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:21 PM) Oops. For the record, I love your sig. Bring us Ryan Church KW
  5. Over/under on posts before jphat says "I told you so"
  6. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:09 PM) Move. I am in the fall. Won't be moving to Chicago, but still
  7. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:09 PM) Do I need to use smaller words? No, you just need to use words that aren't stupid.
  8. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:09 PM) The worst feeling is when I dont want to go to the stadium to watch the Sox. I hate not being excited for this weekends series... I'll take the tickets then. I've yet to go to a goddamn game all year
  9. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:06 PM) I dont' care. His nothing is better than half the pitchers on this team. He is the best pitcher in the freakin league. He should be allowed to pitch out of his mess.
  10. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:03 PM) The usage (or lack therof) of McCarthy is laughable at this point. It has been all year. Its really sad
  11. Mack looked like he nearly took Pods' head off on that throw
  12. Can't this team ever lose a good game? Must they always lose games that they shouldn't?
  13. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 08:53 PM) And put in who? This is why the pen is such a weakness. You can tell Oz doesnt have much faith in the pen right now, and I dont blame him. BMac?
  14. Just got back from dinner. What's up with Count? His line doesn't look too good Nice to see a lead though, especially with the Tigers losing
  15. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 06:38 PM) I still dont want Thome in the field. The only team we have to play at an NL park we will have to bang with is the Reds. Our offense sans Thome should be better than the Pirates and the Dorks from Clark and Addison. But I'm going to that series.. I want to see Thome! Eh, you are right. As much as I will regret not seeing Thome, he really shouldn't be in the field, just as a precaution.
  16. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 03:51 PM) Actually all a no-trade clause means is that he can refuse any trade, not that he can't be traded... but feel free to carry on in all-caps. Do you really think he would accept a trade to Tampa Bay? Or anywhere outside of Chicago besides possibly Anaheim? He's not going anywhere this year.
  17. QUOTE(My Dixie Normus @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 03:36 PM) Give them Garland and Anderson. CC can hit #2 (and steal bases) and move Gooch to 6. Pods (L) CC (L) Thome (L) Konerko ® Dye ® Gooch (the second leadoff man) ® Crede ® AJP (L) Uribe/Cintron/Mac (R/S/L) We would hit them with so many lefts they would be praying for a right. Starters MB JC FG JV BM They would never do it but, it would be nice. GARLAND CANNOT BE TRADED. HIS CONTRACT INCLUDES A NO TRADE CLAUSE THIS YEAR. (maybe if I put it in caps, people will realize it)
  18. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 12:43 PM) Shame he's not on the ballot. Same can be said about Rios, which is a complete joke.
  19. QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 11:53 AM) Ive heard that before and always ignored it. I cant tell you how GREAT I feel, when I see a grounder roll roll easily under the outstretched glove of a helpless cub, as the other team scores the winning run. Theres a small rush I get, I admit. But, I get a bigger kick out of (back in the day) watching a 1990's Frank Thomas fouling off pitch after pitch, in a sort of chess-match with the pitcher, looking for the ONE pitch he can drive, and then like clockwork, gets the pitch and smokes it to deepest left-center for a home-run, knowing you were right there with him, pitch-for-pitch, knowing what he was thinking, what he was doing, and for a quick moment, Celebrating that blast with Big Frank, in a small way knowing what it must feel like to hit a ball 475 feet to LeftCenter for a homerun. I'm rather certain that Cuck the Fubs posts more about the Cubs than he does about the White Sox. There's a difference between hating the Cubs and obsessing about hating the Cubs. Personally thought, I'd rather just not care about the Cubs
  20. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 12:29 PM) C - Joe Mauer------How about ramon hernandez? 1B - Travis Hafner------I HATE voting for someone who doesn't even play the position, gimme Paulie 2B - Jose Lopez------I wish Iguchi 3B - Alex Rodriguez------Maybe even glaus... SS - Miguel Tejada OF - Jermaine Dye------I wish, but it would be vlad instead OF - Vernon Wells/Alex Rios OF - Manny Ramirez------swisher Mauer has had a much better season than Hernandez. He's hitting .359/.420/.494, compared to Hernandez's .286/.348/.478. Even if you had a HR fetish (Hernandez has 8, Mauer 4), its hard to say that Hernandez is more deserving then either Mauer or Posada. Jermaine Dye has had a much better year than Vlad. He's hitting .298/.402/.638 with 14 HR and 36 RBI, while Vlad had put up a .318/.364/.537 line with 13 HR and 45 RBI. But yes, Swisher is more deserving than Manny too (although, not nearly as more deserving as Dye is over Vlad).
  21. QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 11:43 AM) AMEN. We are all SOX fans and we all cheer for them in different ways. Who am I to tell him hes WRONG for cheering the SOX in his way? or criticize his route ? god bless and GO SOX One might say he's more a Cubs hater (or lover, who really knows?) than a Sox fan..
  22. For the Mackowiak part, are you talking about the ball that was hit towards the end of last nights game? He never had a shot at getting it, but he jumped up and pretended he did. Anderson would have likely caught it, but thats the price you pay for putting the better offensive player out there rather than worrying about defense.
