  1. Another player with a bad back. Would fit in well on the Sox
  2. What the hell sort of spelling is that in the poll? I mean seriously, wtf. Please, learn how to spell.
  3. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Dec 21, 2005 -> 04:49 PM) and Ed Reed isn't a SS # 20 Ed Reed Position: SS http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/302218 QUOTE(Tmar28 @ Dec 21, 2005 -> 04:57 PM) NFL.com seems to think otherwise http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/302218 damn you for beating me
  4. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Dec 21, 2005 -> 10:51 AM) 42.. Not that anyone cares. I got the joke too
  5. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 21, 2005 -> 04:03 PM) where's Kyle Orton???? He lead this team to 9 wins. That's TOTALLY worthy of being n the Pro-Bowl team!! I DEMAND KYLE ORTON! Technically, he led the team to 10 wins. Since he started the Falcons game, he got the win.
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 21, 2005 -> 01:10 PM) Pods was bad at the end of the regular season when he got hurt but he was fantastic in the playoffs. Not looking at the numbers, I think he had 4 stolen bases, and was caught 3 times. But if you think thats fantastic, alright blah SSH beat me to it.
  7. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Dec 20, 2005 -> 04:33 PM) Has he said that he doesn't like the way the Cubs are headed? No, it was just speculation.
  8. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Dec 20, 2005 -> 04:26 PM) Why is this even being discussed? It is obvious that this reporter just made this crap up. Kerry Wood has a no trade clause. Why would he approve a trade to Washington? That is just insane. Because Washington is pitching heaven and he doesn't like the way the Cubs are headed?
  9. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Dec 20, 2005 -> 03:29 PM) It sounds like a lot of people involved in this thread hav enever seen Jose Vidro play. He's not a special player. Ryan Church is not a special pitcher. If you wouldn't trade those two for Wood then you are being a total homer for the Sox Church had a damn good year last year while hitting in the biggest pitching park in the majors.. I disagree with the fact that you think he's not a special player. The same goes for Vidro, who has a career .831 OPS and is a .300 hitter. He doesn't strikeout much, and walks a decent amount as well. He doesn't have much power, but can hit for a good amount of doubles, and 10-20 homeruns a year. I would take both of those two over Kerry Wood, who gets hurt every year at least once, in a second.
  10. I would have liked to keep Willie, but its great to see Timo gone
  11. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Dec 20, 2005 -> 02:09 PM) are you insane? they have the best offensive 2B in all of baseball now with alfonso soriano. sure, his defense is bad, but he's a speedy, power hitting 2B who hits 30 homers a year easily. in the national league, he's going to run wild as well. now, vidro is injured as often as kerry wood, so i dont see why this trade hurts the nats, since they have a 2B to spare anyway. I think the real question is, are you insane? Soriano was good in TBIA, but was significantly worse outside of it. Now that he's making a switch from the best hitting park to the best pitching park, his numbers are going to be crap. He's not a stud.. he won't even be a good player when he's in RFK. He has s*** discipline at the plate, along with crap defense, so if you could explain, how is he a stud?
  12. QUOTE(The Critic @ Dec 19, 2005 -> 09:17 PM) I see that I'm in the minority here, but I don't really have any interest in having DVDs of every playoff game in their entirety. The WS and Sox Pride DVDs pretty much cover it for me. I just don't see myself watching every game on DVD often enough to want to buy this set. Not knocking anyone who DOES want them, just saying it's not for me. Same here, and if I do want to watch them, I'll just watch the .mpg's I recorded while the games were going on in real time. Its free, and I already removed the commercials
  13. I was wrong about Grossman I thought he would be an upgrade over Orton, but I didn't think it should be a move that was done in the middle of a game, or a winning streak. But now that he's the starter, I must say, its nice to have an offense that moves the ball.
  14. Life really is different when my favorite teams are playing well
  15. NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA HEY HEY HEY GOOD BYE!
  16. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 18, 2005 -> 11:02 PM) And there is the big concern spot right there. Our safties are horrible right now. Their coverage isn't that great, but damn, they can hit.
  17. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 18, 2005 -> 10:48 PM) You know those things where people get mad at you for being to optimistic? Because everyone thats optimistic is a homer who only sees things in black and white
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 18, 2005 -> 10:43 PM) Ha, you havent been in enough sox game threads then. Wow.. you and I were on the same page there. You beat me though
  19. QUOTE(jenksd @ Dec 18, 2005 -> 10:43 PM) Largest change of emotion page to page I've ever seen on a message board. You didn't see some of the Sox game threads
