QUOTE (Heads22 @ Nov 8, 2010 -> 03:15 PM) Royce White denied eligibility for ISU this year. We could really use him, and I guess we're still appealing, which won't likely do much. Good. f*** Royce White. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 8, 2010 -> 02:24 PM) Well, yeah he said that and scratched, but about 2 seconds prior to their putting the guts on them, it was stated "don't let any touch your skin" and then two characters came into direct contact with it on purpose with their hands reaching into pockets and distributing guns. I noticed, and was bugged by it as well. Although you obviously don't turn zombie from getting blood on your skin. QUOTE ( @ Nov 8, 2010 -> 03:18 PM) What channel is this walking dead on? The best network on television. From the AV Club's review: This really bugged me. Like they said, I'm sure it'll play in the future at some point, but if you're going to show a grenade and make a point of it, I want to see some exploded zombies. Overall, I enjoyed the second episode, but it certainly wasn't up to snuff with the first one. That was expected and I still plan on watching and enjoying the rest of the series. It's hard not to support a zombie TV show that actually has promise and isn't a niche campy flick.

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 8, 2010 -> 11:22 AM) "Pussified Punk?" That's what I was going to say originally, but figured I'd piss off more people than my first comment made. It is true, though
-
I think you have me confused for a creative type. I'm not here to create, simply here to criticize.
-
QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 7, 2010 -> 04:58 PM) I dunno if the term is totally without merit. Even way back before the age of Green Day, bands like the Buzzcocks and early xtc, Jilted John, the Undertones, etc., were all coming out of a punk tradition but with a lot more pop sensibility and tongue-in-cheek delivery than the first wave of punk music. I think pop punk, punk power pop, etc., is useful as a broad stroke to categorize these groups. And for the record, I love all of that stuff. I don't doubt that when the sound was first coined there was some merit to it, but I think the majority of the bands that get that title today hardly fall into it. Regardless of that, the phrase "pop punk" still remains stupid and should be called something else.
-
QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 7, 2010 -> 03:46 PM) Probably a little more pop punk than what OP is thinking. Random tangent, but there are very few phrases I hate more than "pop punk." The two words (and musical genres) contradict themselves. It's like saying something is dry wet. Just awful. I also hate the music in that "genre", but that's beside the point I'm going for here.

Ah, that would make more sense. I'm not much of a mixer, so I assumed you were going for some other drink. Can't say I'll be buying another bottle too soon, but then again, I always say that, then I always pick up a new one after a month or so.
-
QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 6, 2010 -> 06:01 PM) Add a bottle of Bulleit And a good rye into the mix and you are totally in business. I prefer just rocks (or neat in the case of the blue).

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 6, 2010 -> 05:05 PM) What did that set you back? I had one of those about 10 years ago and it was $17 for a shot back then. I have a friend that just bought a bottle of it (god only knows why... I just went to the store today and it was $180+tax), and he was nice enough to let me have a glass. I know he had one at a bar last weekend which was $20, though. Picked up a bottle of Crown Royal Reserve today though, which I'm really looking forward to tasting. I have way too many bottles of whiskey right now (Johnny Red, Black, Green, Crown Royal Reserve, Bushmills, Wild Turkey, Maker's Mark). Overkill much?

I had a glass of Johnny Walker Blue last night. So goddamn delicious.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 4, 2010 -> 09:31 PM) Really sends a great message when your best player is benched in the 4th. That sounds awfully familiar. Oh, right.
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 4, 2010 -> 08:08 PM) This is why the NBA sucks at times, the refs have totally changed parts of the game with no calls and phantom fouls. I just turned the game on, but you can't blame a 20-point deficit on the refs. And trust me, I know something about 20-point deficits in the first half
-
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 2, 2010 -> 07:58 PM) More like Heat cruising to their 4th straight double digit victory. Except for the first half against Boston that team has looked awesome so far which really isn't surprising. Wait, you mean the Heat are crushing the Timberwolves? That is shocking information.

Time for loss #2 for Miami.

Sup Milwaukee

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Oct 26, 2010 -> 09:41 PM) I'm excited for Yao. I'm excited for Shane Battier.

Just tried watching Boondock Saints II. Turned it off after 22:30. I tend to enjoy brainless action movies, but this was beyond awful. Easily one of the worst movies I've ever tried to watch.

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Oct 22, 2010 -> 09:23 PM) Probably the same people who consider Shaun of the Dead a horror movie. ^^ I'm sure Zombieland will finish high as well, despite not being a horror in any sense. Also, I didn't send in a list, but I'm excited to see where Swimfan finishes!

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 20, 2010 -> 05:47 PM) plus it's boring and people who play it smell You misunderstand my point. Fallout is a great series and Fallout 3 was a very good game (the engine and visuals were great). The writing/dialogue/plot/etc. wasn't nearly as good as the original two Fallouts, but that's bound to happen. New Vegas will probably be more of the same, which is fine. But anyway, play it on the PC. Fallout is a PC game. Always has been. There's a special place in hell for people that play games like it (say, Halflife 1 or 2) on PS3/360, etc.
-
Fallout was never meant to be played on any other platform other than PC. Everyone that has played it on 360 and PS3 is a loser. Carry on.

Timberwolves 5-1. Just sayin'

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Oct 12, 2010 -> 08:28 PM) The only one that is kind of difficult to get assists is The Arrival. Without Pippen it is kind of tough. Nah. Once they start doubling you, it's hard NOT to get assists. Of course, I scored 83 with 7 or 8 assists... most of my points on dunks/layups/mid-range jumpers
-
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 11, 2010 -> 10:18 PM) I can't complete The Arrival. Closest I got was 60 and 5. I thought it was pretty easy. Just lock yourself on Jordan and you should be able to score at will.
