    i am drunk in 2009

    vwery very drunk... slepeep
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 19, 2009 -> 07:42 AM) http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/columns/...&id=4755711 Of course ESPN would say that. They're just promoting the big schools because it makes their company more money. Everyone and their mother knows that ISU is the best Illinois team and always will be. Have you seen Osiris play? He's the best player in the nation.
  3. QUOTE (JuiceCruz16 @ Dec 17, 2009 -> 02:19 PM) Ohio beats up on Illinois State by 18! I was wondering why the ISU fanboys hadn't posted in a little while.
  4. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 17, 2009 -> 11:06 AM) Ouch. White leaves Minnesota. That sucks, but I'm not too broke up about it. I'd rather not keep people like him around, regardless of how talented at basketball they are. Still, I doubt this is the last we hear about him.
  5. I don't care what he's done in the past, he doesn't deserve death. Hopefully he'll pull through. There is only one person I will ever wish death upon, and that's Brett Favre.
  6. Gophers crushed NIU tonight by 41, winning 89-48. Blake Hoffarber continues his hot streak, setting the single game three-point record in Gopher history with 8 en route to 26 points, while Lawrence Westbrook added 15 of his own. All in all, a pretty enjoyable win
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 15, 2009 -> 10:14 AM) Yeah, paying 4.125 per year over hte next two for a .300 hitter who can steal 40 bags. AWFUL. He's hit .300 once since 2005 and that was last year in limited AB. He's also had an OBP above the .330 range once since 2004, again, last year. Let's not kid ourselves that Juan Pierre is a great player or anything. He's best suited for the 9 spot, but given our lack of any options, my guess is he'll be leading off.
  8. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 15, 2009 -> 10:06 AM) Overall, he's as good as Pods. At least he's better on the bases. They had virtually the same SB% last year and the same for their career.

    Films Thread

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 14, 2009 -> 09:05 AM) Watched Step Brothers last night. Might be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I think an 11 year old boy wrote the screenplay and I don't see how anyone over the age of 17 would find it to be entertaining or funny. I haven't seen it and probably never will. I basically refuse to watch any Will Ferrell movie made after Anchorman since they're all just about the same. A rare exception was made for Stranger Than Fiction, which was actually pretty enjoyable.
  10. I think I'm going to see the Experience Hendrix Tour when it comes to Minneapolis in March. Needless to say, I'm pretty pumped. Getting to see Billy Cox is one thing, but getting to see him alongside the ridiculous lineup (including Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson and more) they have at each show is going to be awesome.
  11. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Dec 13, 2009 -> 10:51 PM) These arguments are so old. I think I said this like 10 pages ago.
  12. I can't believe we're winning this game right now.
  13. Gophers beat up on St. Joseph's today to the tune of a 97-74 win. Blake Hoffarber is gaining my faith in him back game by game, this time scoring 20 points including some excellent shooting, while Ralph Sampson actually looked like the player we were hoping he would be this year. Granted, it was against a team with no real inside presence, but I can be hopeful about that, right?!
  14. I've been told good things about it by a friend who has it, but have never played it myself.
  15. Gophers rolled over Morgan State tonight, 94-64. Blake Hoffarber apparently has remembered how to shoot this year, scoring a team high 18 points on 8/11 shooting. Reggie Holmes for Morgan State put up 27 shots, including 12 threes, on his way to 26 points
  16. I might turn it on for like 5 minutes to see the Gophers get stomped, but probably not
  17. I don't care at all about college football, but Minnesota/Iowa State is going to be a terrible, terrible game.
  18. QUOTE (ChiSox420* @ Dec 6, 2009 -> 09:55 PM) Juan Pierre owed 18.5M over the next two years, Linebrink 10.5M so we would have to take on 8.5M over the next two years which doesn't seem unreasonable since it would fill the whole in the OF and at leadoff. Probably have to throw in a prospect or two, I was thinking Torres or another AAAA starter since they seem to want pitching. http://twitter.com/stevehenson333/status/6416431930
  19. I've gone to 2 Timberwolves games this year, and we've won both of them. I need to go to more games.
  20. Gophers rolled over Brown today 91-55. They shot ridiculously well and really played well after a terrible road trip. Brown's Andrew McCarthy is the funniest player to watch, too. He looks ridiculous when he's running up and down the court.. it's really hilarious
  21. QUOTE (T R U @ Dec 4, 2009 -> 10:09 PM) Prolly from all the MW2 stuff, but, I reserved and picked it up and yeah it is a badass game.. versus mode is awesome I can't say I've really been that into versus on this version or the original, but Scavenge is pretty similar and a ton of fun.
  22. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Dec 4, 2009 -> 03:20 PM) Uh no. Lets put this in perspective using Wisconsin as an example. Wisconsin finished 6th last year in the Big 10, meaning that all 3 MVC teams would have to have been better than Wisconsin. Wisconsin was 20-11, losing only 3 OOC games. Wisconsin's OOC losses were UConn (ranked #2), Marquette and Texas (ranked #8). Why do you believe that Creighton or UNI would have finished higher than Wisconsin? In comparison, Creighton lost to Arkansas-Little Rock and Nebraska OOC. Northern Iowa lost to Illinois Chicago, lost to Marquette by 30 (Wisconsin lost by 3), lost to Iowa by 19, lost to Wyoming and lost to Iowa State. So no, I dont believe there is any rationale argument that either of those teams could have finished higher than Wisconsin. Last year Wisconsin had: RPI Rank: 45 SOS Rank: 16 UNI: RPI Rank: 59 SOS Rank: 84 Creighton: RPI Rank: 40 SOS Rank: 111 Notice the difference in SOS. Wisconsin was 16 and had similar records to 84 and 111. Sorry to bring facts to this argument, but its getting ridiculous. . Get your numbers out of here. We all know that ISU would beat any team in the nation at least 5/10 times, they're just too clutch.
  23. Is it possible to go a single page in this thread without the same tiring debate?
  24. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Dec 3, 2009 -> 04:45 PM) Anyone who was interested in Royce White, here is a video of his first action this season. http://wcco.com/video/[email protected] Youll notice he holds his block well against the Security Guard who is attempting to apprehend him for theft. Awesome, and awful. Thanks for linking to that
  25. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 2, 2009 -> 11:18 PM) What is the latest on Royce White? He pleaded guilty today for his theft and assault case, and he'll be cleared if he stays out of trouble for the next year. No timeline for when he'll be back with the team, but I'm hoping he'll at least be back for part of Big 10 play.
