QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 08:59 PM) That 3-0 Dye low strike really changed the momentum of this game. Keep us close Gavin. Except that the next batter had a home run robbed.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 08:56 PM) Out of curiosity, have we seen any of the pitchers before that we're going to face this series? No. Although, is tomorrow's starter listed?

What you sippin' on?
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 08:44 AM) Well it isnt if you listen to the wackos who want you to believe the government is fluorinating (word?) the water to control population pretty soon. Well the government is "fluoridating" but that's so I don't have to brush my teeth (right?). But if they are going to "flourinate" then I think we are all going to die.

Dayan or Beckham at 3rd if Fields can't do it
QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 31, 2009 -> 03:46 PM) LOL, this should really be the first thing that goes through your mind before you hit submit, not the last thing that you type and then hit submit

GameThread: White Sox(23-25) vs Royals(23-26) 1:10 CT, WGN
QUOTE (fathom @ May 31, 2009 -> 03:20 PM) I will then reply that I honestly never saw that post, and couldn't disagree more with it. As I had said earlier, Cooper has his work cut out for him to get his mechanics back in order. Meh, that's my opinion on it. I hope it's mechanical and that it's fixed, but I haven't heard anything like that said. I just think it's carry over from last year. I don't know that something like that is fixed.

QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ May 31, 2009 -> 03:11 PM) Wise looks absolutely terrible, that 0-1 pitch will get doubled up i was right! and he took it wise-ly, take it again Are you saying that he looks terrible NOW, or that he will continue to look terrible into the future and must trade him for Brandon McCarthy?

GameThread: White Sox(23-25) vs Royals(23-26) 1:10 CT, WGN
QUOTE (fathom @ May 31, 2009 -> 03:07 PM) Yes, and did anyone say "Danks is terrible and he should be demoted/released/traded for McCarthy". Just because people don't use those exact words doesn't mean they don't think he's going to be bad in the future. Meanwhile, IMO, this is all Danks is going to give this season. I hoped for better, and I want better, but I don't think we are going to see it. He just can't get anything down.

QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ May 31, 2009 -> 03:01 PM) possible, but wouldn't that start happening a little later on in the year, it's not even june yet. I don't know if there are rules about it. I do know that he can't get the ball down and that's usually the result of a tired arm.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 31, 2009 -> 02:59 PM) Danks needs to pull his head out of that wrong end and start pitching like we saw last year Tired arm from last year's over use. It happens.

Eating Some Crow!!!!!
Just a week ago I thought he was a guy who was destined for the NL, but he has shown that he can be a shut down type pitcher and I know he has the mind set to gut out a start when he isn't at his best (we saw this last year). I'm shocked by how good he has been.

SunTimes That's some chunkin' right there. Of course that ignores Colon's 7 unearned runs in one game, but otherwise they've been solid.

That would be a White Sox Winner
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 30, 2009 -> 04:35 AM) Don't look now, but Josh Fields has a 5 game hitting streak and is 7 for his last 15. In the last week, his batting average has gone up from .212 to .241. That's because he is going to the opposite field on fastballs. I don't think he will ever be an elite power hitter but he looks like a doubles hitter with solid speed, and home run potential on breaking balls.

Lot of opposite field hitting tonight.

QUOTE (ChiSox420* @ May 29, 2009 -> 09:48 PM) You have to look at every mistake Wise makes as an overall positive to the team, the more mistakes the less playing time He didn't make the mistake.

QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ May 29, 2009 -> 09:00 PM) terrible bunt, and terrible baserunning by brian How was that bad baserunning? It was a line drive bunt toward the pitcher, didn't he have to freeze?
