  1. And a booted pick by PK.
  2. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 02:45 PM) Update? Down 2-1 going into the 3rd.
  3. 8 pitches. After that 33 pitch first inning he gets off with an 8 pitch inning.
  4. Tiger's cast is talking about Clayton's bad pitch selection. They aren't touching the fastball and he keeps coming with off-speed.
  5. Couple of ROCKETS off Clayton.
  6. JD with some THIEVERY
  7. Please don't let him off the hook.
  8. Bad pitch selection to Mags.
  9. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 12:15 AM) Just stick to smokin pole like usual.
  10. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 09:46 PM) I agree wholeheartedly. My point is that right now this team is playing so bad that to single out Walker is a joke. It's not just situational hitting that's a problem - it's all hitting. A couple of weeks ago their defense was atrocious - should Cora have been fired? A week ago the team was hitting well - should Walker have been fired then? Starting pitching has been terribly inconsistent. All I'm saying is now is not the time for the organization to start pointing fingers. I agree. And I reference my comments above. This failure is beyond the hitting coach.
  11. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 10:20 PM) Have you checked this thread for party suggestions? He never even thanked anyone for the suggestions. I wonder how that turned out...

    QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ May 20, 2009 -> 02:04 AM) "Veteran" is code for "old as dirt", isn't it? Started the evening with my first love, beer. A gorgeous Wyerbacher Belgian style "Quad" that in and of itself justifies the existence of Pennsylvania. Taking the suggestion, I decided to pick one up myself. Damn good! Not a normal quad but I love it. This was after a Flying Dog Gonzo Porter, and Pennichuck Firefighter Schwartzbier. Good stuff.
  13. There were 4 MLB players in the lineup today. Pods (for now), Aram, PK, and Dye. And the starter was not MLB caliber either. Whose fault is that? I don't care if Walker is fired, but these players aren't very good. I should add though, that he should be fired because the minor league players don't have a clue when they come up. I have no clue what his philosophy in the minors is, but it doesn't work.
  14. Interesting: Mayo Clinic Wite, you might want to find a better option.
  15. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 7, 2009 -> 12:42 AM) Speaking of Mediterranean food, this brings up something I was talking about with Milkman the other day. It's really hard to find a gyro place outside of Chicago. Over there, they are a dime a dozen, even in the suburbs. This probably goes for New York too. They might have some down in DC, but in Maryland, I can only think of one place, and it's a good 20 minute drive away. The gyro is here is terrible. NYC probably has something, but where I am, people eat too healthy to get a real good gyro.
  16. I had a friend with one in college and had a lot of flavors. It was nice to do after drinking all night.

    Happy Birthday!
  18. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 12:22 PM) According to his Wikipedia page, Beckham's nickname is "Bacon." Huh? Can anybody explain this to me? Might be a joke from people listening to the Score. When Ozzie says Beckham it sounds like bacon.

    QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 08:14 PM) So I had a near death experience today. And by that I mean that I was probably a few feet away from dying. Driving back to Chicago from Carbondale and my car just out of no where(might have caught the trucks back draft or something) gets loose and I had absolutely no control of it. It swerves left and then swerves right under a semi truck. So ya, we ended up under the semi, literally just a few feet away from getting ran over by the wheels. You're like Clark Griswald!
  21. This is all because of my posts in the Catch-All And because this was the most obvious move ever.
  22. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 09:22 PM) Awesome. Wilson Betemit still saves Bartolo's ERA somehow. Colon this season can't pitch over anything. It's awful.
  23. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 04:26 PM) but they had grill marks on them It's an Albany expression.
  24. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 08:16 AM) the difference is that this is Mazzaro's ML debut, not his debut vs the Sox. And truth be told, Cahill was handling them pretty well for a while after the Sox scored their first run. I think he retired something like 12 in a row at one point. I know. Just trying to be positive. Anyway. Since the 20-1 loss, the Sox have outscored opponents 63-20 over ten games (If I can count, which I'm bad at.)
  25. The Sox hadn't faced Cahil either but they managed a W. If the Sox get good pitching, which they have been, it will be another W.
