7/25 - SOX @ DET, 6:05 PM CDT, WCIU
QUOTE (GOD @ Jul 25, 2008 -> 08:44 PM) Todd Jones has got to be the worst closer in baseball yet we never do anything against him He's 18 for 20 in saves. So...

7 Sox players in the top 64 MLB hitters
7 in the top 64 but none in the top 7. Of course that's only due to PK being out. In 73 games he has 10 gidp's while CQ, leading the team with 12 gidp's, has played in 96 games. The Sox are 4th in baseball in GIDP. 3rd in the league behind Toronto and Boston.

Uribe Not Going to Boston
QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 07:33 PM) just expanding on a thought here: should Uribe and Cabrera get traded and Roberts comes back to the Sox, we can most likely expect Fields to be called up to back up Crede at 3rd, correct? Also, who would end up being the utility infielder/swingman? That article would indicate Cora would be the utility guy. Fields would back up third I'd imagine. Crede is hurt, I don't see any reason not to give Fields the chance.

Uribe Not Going to Boston
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 07:32 PM) Crede's legitimately hurting. They wouldn't say anything about a back injury if they were making it up. With Ozuna gone, Uribe is the back up there. Juan didn't hurt KW's leverage with his play the last 2 days. Oh right I forgot about Pablo.

Uribe Not Going to Boston
QUOTE (rangercal @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 07:26 PM) Yeah, let's trade our leadoff man. Good idea The idea would be that we get a better lead off man. Anyway, I'm not surprised to see this rumor. The fact that Uribe was playing 3rd yesterday, where we haven't seen him play in a while (have we?), should be a clue that they are show casing him.

The Dark Knight
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 22, 2008 -> 11:49 PM) f***in awesome. Ugh. Everyone who pointed out the holes liked the movie. We accept that it was a comic book movie. The problem is that people were calling it a masterpiece (read Kevin Smith) and Oscar worthy. Can't have it both ways. That is all.

7/22 - SOX vs. TEX, 7:11 CT, CSN
What would it be like to be a non-Sox fan watching Hawk? Who the hell knows who or what a Matt Abbatacola (sp?) is?

QUOTE (NorthSideSox15 @ Jul 22, 2008 -> 10:06 PM) I'm kind of bummed that Mark gave up that HR. I'll take a solo shot over a couple walks.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jul 19, 2008 -> 07:50 PM) What holes?!- The Dark Knight
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 19, 2008 -> 06:39 PM) I'll counter that with saying that everyone is so high on this movie because they just saw it and are getting carried away. I agree.- Trade Winds Catch All
QUOTE (BlackBetsy @ Jul 19, 2008 -> 09:11 AM) Joe Sheehan of Baseball Prospectus likes Brian Roberts to the White Sox. http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=7820 I don't like this deal unless it's accompanied by sending Orlando Cabrera out of town (Dodgers, maybe, for a prospect) Why would you want OC out right now? He's been hitting better and playing better defense. He has a ton of playoff experience at a key position. No prospect is going to do us any good this season.- KC @ CWS 7-18
Sweet. Hawk just almost used my quote.- Origin behind your name?
I'm a bit of a drinker.- Josh Hamilton Presents the 2008 Home Run Derby
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 14, 2008 -> 09:10 PM) Seeing Josh Hamilton makes me wonder about what could have been with Doc Gooden or some of the other amazing players who let other issues get in there way of there ridiculous physical abilities. That was the most unbelievable performance I've ever seen in my history of watching baseball. I was thinking the same thing. He's like the reverse Doc (er something). It's really incredible to watch.- Josh Hamilton Presents the 2008 Home Run Derby
Amazing how this was almost wasted.- Josh Hamilton Presents the 2008 Home Run Derby
He's hitting every pitch no matter where it is. It's crazy.- SOX @ Texas Rangers, 7/13, 2:05 PM, CSN, AM 670
Well I'd say it's officially time for me to watch something else and enjoy my evening. I was expecting a slightly better road trip.- SOX @ Texas Rangers, 7/13, 2:05 PM, CSN, AM 670
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 06:12 PM) Has our bullpen had a game since Joe Morgan proclaimed it was the best ever where they didn't allow a run? This pen isn't so great without Jenks as an anchor.- SOX @ Texas Rangers, 7/13, 2:05 PM, CSN, AM 670
This has the makings of a disaster.- SOX @ Texas Rangers, 7/13, 2:05 PM, CSN, AM 670
PK used to be really good at making those throws like on a 3-6-3 DP. I don't know what the hell happened to him.- SOX @ Texas Rangers, 7/13, 2:05 PM, CSN, AM 670
This team has no interest in hitting with RISP.- SOX @ Texas Rangers, 7/13, 2:05 PM, CSN, AM 670
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 05:44 PM) We haven't seen a bat flip on a no doubter in a while. That would have been a good pitch for it. - The Dark Knight
