After a season last year where literally no one went 100 innings, injuries are up by crazy amounts all over baseball, and the guy you are pitching on short rest already had an arm injury this year.

You mean the major leagues where basically no one starts on 3 days rest anymore? Talk about walking into your own rhetoric.

Oh @tray if you have something to say, just say it. The laugh react thing is trite.

It's the same idea as throwing your closer four days in a row. Sometimes you just need to understand that the risk isn't worth it.

Giving up one game now to avoid losing more games later is just smart.

Again, I would rather start Stiever or Reynaldo than Lynn on short rest after he has already had an injury this year. I'd rather lose a game now versus risk losing Lynn for an extended period of time.

Well if he is reading this, and hate motivates him to stick around let me just be the 1st to say... You are doing great Tony!

Yes, because I can see Tony LaRussa rolling through internet message boards worried what people have to say about him. Good lord, project much?

Honestly? That's worse. He's already had injury issues this year. Even if you have to punt on a game using someone like Stiever or ReyLo, don't risk Lynn.

For a power hitter who has a lower OPS than Nick Madrigal, it would be nice if he could play a useful defensive position. He's terrible at 1st and the OF. Lamb pinch hitting means you need a 2nd sub for defense.

If a deal got done early and the Cubs picked up his entire contract? Maybe.

If you would have told me that Sox fans would be chanting Billy Hamiltons name at a game...

That's not an easy play anyway, but going dark to light is rough.

How I learned to Love the Abreu By Ron

That's what they should have named LaRussa's Lounge!

Upton's too

Even better. Let them lose him for nothing.

Then entire pen should be fine outside of maybe Bummer who went Wed and Thu.

This deserves mockery and ratio.

We are playing 14 innings today and 14 more on Monday.

Depends on when the trade happens and how much money the Cubs pick up. KB is a free agent after the season making about $3 million a month. If the Cubs want fully rid of the cash, it will hurt the return.

Ichiro himself said he could hit 40 if he sacrificed his average.

When was the last time he was right?
