  1. That the Sox training staff has caused some inordinate amount of injuries. Yes their injuries numbers have been up over the last 15 years, but no they aren't anywhere near bad or the worst teams when it comes to this. At worst, they are average.
  2. That is why you play 2019 out. Once the Sox decide they are in a position to win, then we can talk about pitching on the free agent market at a top level. As of now, no need. Honestly there would be a decent chance by the time we were in a position to be good, that contract would be a weight on the team.
  3. This is way overblown, as there is no real statistical support for it.
  4. At this stage, I am OK with the Sox just chasing down a couple of innings eaters.
  5. If he can recruit Machado, he can stay at 2B.
  6. That means he is retiring, right? Reading between the lines here?
  7. I am fine with it. Realistically the timing is odd, and I would much rather see the front office fired.
  8. Unless he turns out half a season of top notch closing, we aren't going to get anything insane for him. But I feel pretty good in saying that even with a decent season, the return will be better than a back up catcher.
  9. A mid-minors LH SP ranked just outside of the Brewers top 10 in a decent farm system? For a guy who we got paid to take on a few months before? What is wrong with that return and who was offering more?
  10. A Japanese pitcher with shoulder problems in the past represented by Scott Boras... what could possibly go wrong?
  11. Not for you as much as for the people who actually will read this and learn something... NO one actually cares about the teams profit and loss in terms of how much money they lose or make. They care about team payroll in terms of what is allows the team to add to the existing team. Current and future payrolls are the #1 indicator of how much salary the team is going to be able to add to it at any point in time. It tells if there is room to add a star, or if they are maxed out. Literally no one outside of the board of directors and people who hold grudges over that kind of thing actually care how much profit the team makes. They care about payroll simply in terms of what kind of team it is allowing the White Sox to put on to the field. That's it. Anything else is dishonest.
  12. My wife liked being pregnant for sure. She didn't like a few of the things about it, but loved the experience.
  13. It is just enough of a change to further dupe the cult.
  14. What an odd time to fire him. With out 3 top players to start the season, and they really didn't look bad considering the talent gap between them and the rest of the NBA without all of those players.
