McCann hasn't had a single year in his career where the vast majority of his starts didn't come as a catcher. I mean it isn't even close. 2015 1042 innings as a catcher, 16 as a 1B 2016 757 Innings C, 5 at 1B 2017 827 C, 0 at 1B

I mean you absolutely listen, but based on what teams have been paying for similar players, it doesn't look good.

This just needs the control C, control V treatment.

You aren't even trying anymore.

You really can't go back in time a decade as the move away from these type of players has been over the last few years.

I make it a rule to NOT read comments sections. As a rule, that is where the least informed and most opinionated people hang out. And let's be honest here. Nothing the Chicago PD has to say about 20 years ago should be accepted as fact. They routinely tortured people into confessions for crimes they didn't commit in order to close cases, and in some times to cover their own crimes, even keeping a secret interrogation center off of the books that the used to beat subjects into submission. The City of Chicago has paid out over nine figures in lawsuits and settlements to pay off victims of these crimes. People like Jon Burge wrote confessions for victims and fed them to them, so his "knowing" details of the crime while being innocent isn't even that implausible. Finally there is zero physical evidence connecting him or the other man convicted of this crime. At this point, this is Donald Trump saying that the Central Park 5 are still guilty, even after they have been full exonerated.

Lucroy was dealt for a PTBNL at the deadline, but also could catch. Carlos Beltran has been dealt a few times, the last was for nothing. The big Beltran deal about a decade ago he was still a stud in the OF.

Again, if there is a more accurate deal out there, I would like to hear it.

This is a take straight out of the Central Park 5.

Last report was early in June, so maybe two weeks-ish.

Didn't DNA evidence prove him innocent?

Do you have a deal for a similar player that is more accurate?

Again, look at what JD Martinez brought, which was minimal.

Colon always had the style of doing just enough to win. If he needed 92 to win, he'd throw 92. If he needed 98 in the 9th, he'd find it.

You condition a marathoner by running miles. If he wants to be a guy who can go nine, he needs to practice going 7 and 8 first.

Worth noting, they called up Fry in September and let him struggle then. He came back this year as a whole new pitcher.

ReyLo for the W!

The White Sox could put together one helluva 4x100 relay team.

The deal wouldn't start with his free agency, and included an opt out after 3.

JD Martinez just got $110 million.

As a sophomore is he eligible?

I am not sure about superstar potential, but he is about a slamdunk of a starter as can be found in the draft.

lol, nice try. Just own it.

You stumbled right out of the blocks with this one.

This coming from the guy who was wanting to DFA him a year ago.
