QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jan 17, 2018 -> 11:57 AM) Josh Nelson 12:10 Saw your tweet from the White Sox hitters camp. Who impresses you the most from that group? Eric A Longenhagen 12:11 It was Robert and it wasn't close. Hit balls out to all fields during BP, more raw pop than anyone else taking BP on that field including Burger and Sheets From Longenhagen's and McDaniel's chat today.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 17, 2018 -> 11:19 AM) I agree, it looked like Leury's journey was over and then he went to AAA for 2 more years and produced, then it turned out to be somewhat legit going back to MLB. I don't see why Engel can't do the same. His defense is going to hold a ton of value to a young pitching staff that has a ton of other questions marks on defense.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 17, 2018 -> 11:34 AM) Nightengale reported that Luzardo and Drew Ward was the return for Robertson before it fell through. And if the Nationals nixed it, it wasn't actually available.

QUOTE (cjgalloway @ Jan 17, 2018 -> 11:02 AM) In order: 1. MacKenzie Gore, Padres 2. A.J. Puk, Athletics 3. Justus Sheffield, Yankees 4. Luiz Gohara, Braves 5. Brendan McKay, Rays 6. Adrian Morejon, Padres 7. Kolby Allard, Braves 8. Jesus Luzardo, Athletics 9. Stephen Gonsalves, Twins 10. Max Fried, Braves It hurts my insides that I BELIEVE we could have gotten Luzardo + for Robertson... I will still be sad about this.. Luzardo>Rutherford. lol The only person I recall Luzardo being on the table for was Sale.

QUOTE (KnightsOnMintSt @ Jan 17, 2018 -> 10:23 AM) I really hope that they give Adam Engel a full season of starting, or at least considerable at-bats. While his offense may not have been where we wanted it to be, the defense was oustanding, and he has great speed. 2018 is one of those years where I would really like guys like Engel, as well as Delmonico and Davidson, to get considerable at-bats because I think they all have that potential to be apart of the teams passed 2019. I would actually like to see him used a little less next year. After Leury went out, he started pretty much every single game no matter what the match up was. I'd like to see him brought along a little slower with plugging him into places where he has a better chance to succeed being used as the primary technique instead of an every single day starter. Let him grow in situations where the odds are more in his favor, and utilized Leury in match ups as well. Charlie Tilson is also going to be a factor here assuming he doesn't get ran over in the parking lot on opening day. Ryan Cordell has also played a bit of CF

It would be nice if he could find a defensive position that actually had some value.

QUOTE (cjgalloway @ Jan 17, 2018 -> 09:39 AM) So.. what ever happened with the pitchers we drafted in like rounds 4-9 or something (I don't remember). Didn't we sign them all? How'd they perform? What's their expectations I think they only drafted like 1 starter in the top 10 rounds in McClure. The rest were relievers.

QUOTE (cjgalloway @ Jan 17, 2018 -> 09:34 AM) Nope I don't drink coffee and I also don't want to pay $60 a year to read a few articles.. So you wanna quit being a dick or what? entitled much?

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jan 17, 2018 -> 09:21 AM) Agreed 100%. Also don't think it really hurts his value when over 10 teams have interest. If it were only a few, then sure. This is it right here. He is under control for half of a decade and cheap. Someone will pay up for him, even if it isn't an ultra premium price.

QUOTE (Tony @ Jan 16, 2018 -> 04:56 PM) So do the "LeBron to the Bulls" rumors pick up in the off-season? Dunn-LaVine-LeBron-Markkenen-Random Center? That doesn't even sound like close to enough.

If he is taking part in the camp at full participation, the surgery must have been fairly minor, which is good news.
