QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 12:38 PM) These Kids Can Play Round 2? Well, hopefully and eventually.

QUOTE (Tony @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 12:35 PM) I probably haven't been this interested in the Sox in 5 years. I am the exact opposite. Sure we got the #1 prospect, but there is literally no reason to care about this team for years now.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 12:33 PM) Like Basabe, don't know who V. Diaz is Victor Diaz? http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?playe...tching/2016/ALL

QUOTE (Real @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 12:31 PM) Not even their two best f***ing prospects, lol. what a failure Only the #1 prospect in baseball, huge failure amirite?

QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 12:29 PM) I am with you. This may be what was needed but its still a sad day in my eyes. Definitely this. I love Sale, but learned my lesson when Ventura was a free agent and the Sox lowballed him.

QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 12:29 PM) Moncada starts with the Sox next year, correct? Any chance he starts in AAA? In a rebuilding situation, I would love to see him start in AAA until he passes the mark that would give us an extra year of control. Literally there is no good reason for him to be on the opening day roster.

And I do have to say I got a perverse joy out of the perception that Washington busted ass building a deal only for Boston to swoop in at the end to beat it.

QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 12:22 PM) The fact the other two arent mentioned makes me think its not a bigger known name like Devers or Swihart Or they are finalizing who those last two are out of a group of guys.

BREAKING: Sale to #RedSox. Moncada, Kopech and two other prospects to #WhiteSox.

What could the White Sox look for in deals, and what could those trades be based on? http://www.chicagonow.com/soxnet/2016/12/p...aton-and-jones/

QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 11:57 AM) Yeah, I doubt that Boston will trade Benintendi after the way that he played down the stretch. I'd be happy with Bradley, Moncada, Kopech, Devers, and a lesser minor-league outfielder for Sale and Melky. That would address CF and 3B through 2020. That is a pretty solid framework.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 11:53 AM) I have a strange feeling that the Red Sox make the deal. No inside sources or anything, just feel like Red Sox are more willing to get a deal done. They have the best pieces as far as the White Sox go.

QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 11:30 AM) Rumors of the Nats trading Gio to the Yankees. Maybe Rizzo needs the prospects to complete the Sale trade. I have kept the Yankees in the back of my head as a possibility for a reason just like this. They would love a real ace.

Mark Zuckerman ‏@MarkZuckerman 5m5 minutes ago Sense here this morning is #WhiteSox are comfortable dragging out Sale talks, want to see if any other clubs can top #Nats offer.

Jeff Wilson ‏@JeffWilson_FWST 1h1 hour ago Source: Boston now in on Mitch Moreland, who could be making a decision soon. Cleveland also in the mix. #Rangers are out.
