  1. As a non-subscriber, are they any White Sox players on that list?
  2. Why would the Sox go back on Madrigal? Even if you want to believe the Sox had something to do with his performance here (Tony or whoever) he was even worse last year with the Cubs, and just as unhealthy.
  3. Actually pretty much everything underlying improved when he left NY. His line drive percentage was up 4 percentage points. His hard hit % was up almost 8 point. His HR% was up about 10% over NYC. His exit velocity went up over 3 mph to a level he hadn't seen since Texas. His OPS was up 50.
  4. This plus the new shift rules actually makes him a personal favorite target of mine. He's got bounceback written all over him.
  5. That one is especially brutal because it doesn't make a word of sense.
  6. The Dodgers chase a lot of bad talent as a buffer at the bottom of their roster.
  7. The deal isn't "official" yet. Once that happens, they will be released.
  8. Between the guys who were busted for PEDs and the guys who belong in the Harold Baines Hall of Very Good for a Long Time, I think my favorite case would be made for Andrus Jones.
  9. Cincy already gave up on him, and now the Mariners want to replace him. Tastes a lot like Franmil Reyes.
  10. And at the end of the day, by waiting him out, Tony is gone, and Rick is still where he wants to be.
  11. Cleveland also with a seat at the table.
  12. I will say they hired from all over the place. Wish Boston would have gone too, but it is a better start than any regime change we have had in a long time.
  13. As has been oft quoted around these parts, the Sox had a positive 1.7 WAR from the catching position last year without any contribution from Yaz. I could see adding one more back of the roster type guy, but not much more than that.
