Piniero pushed up against Sox
I don't think the Sox are going to big money on another pitcher anytime soon guys. First of all all 5 starting pitchers are owned by the Sox through at least the end of 2006. Secondly, if anyone stumbles, Brandon McCarthy is the next in line for a starting gig. That makes 6 starters lined up for two full seasons.

Question. When McCarthy gets the call up to Chi-Town, is Bull next in line to Charlotte, or is someone like Sean Tracey ahead of him?

Gun at Bush's head: Art or threat
I'll be the first to admit, I don't "get" art. I don't take it as a threat, I just see it as stupid.

Nocioni suspended for a bullshit elbowing call.
QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 09:30 PM) No clue where that was from... Anyways, it's only a matter of time before "unintentional" shots become too much to be considered an accident. I respect playing hard, but I, personally, don't want to have a thug on my team. Noc can develop into a solid player without having to be a thug and play dirty. Frustrating lebron, for example, is acceptable...But as I said in the game thread, I didn't like how that elbow looked. It's not like he has a clean slate and this was hist first offense... I applaud stern and the league for making an aggressive decision. He's clearly head-above-shoulders when it comes to sports commisioners. Stern is a joke who caters to big name coaches and players. If the situation had been reversed and it had been a bull on the recieving end and a piston on the throwing end, Brown would have been on TV saying it was an innocent thing, and stern would have done nothing. Watch the play. Noc puts a deke move on Prince. Prince's footing gets cause up, which causes him to get his feet spread wide, and for his face to come down to a lower level. While Prince is off balance he reaches towards Noc. Noc tries to put his arms up to breakaway from Prince's grab, only Prince's face is at Noc's elbow height and he gets hit with a glancing blow off to the side of his eye. To call it intentional is just wrong.

Man Date
QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 12:09 AM) My biggest problem is that neither my guy friends or I usually have the money to do any of the fun things we would want to do. Yes, that's right, our problem is we are talking about..... an unfunded man date.

Is this a one-sided trade?
QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 05:47 PM) That's a major difference, Texiera is a second or third rounder, Overbay is much later. On a side note, check out this laugher. It's certainly going to get vetoed, this came right after Pujols for Damon was vetoed: Pujols, Podsednik, and Delgado for Orlando Hernandez, Scott Kazmir, and Esteban Loaiza I'm not sure if the better smiley is :headshake or I need that guy in my league!

For you married folks... and QP..
QUOTE(mreye @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 03:38 PM) Yeah, baby! Seriously, though, we paid for the entire wedding, so that was our gift. The next day we used the dollar dance money to purchase Weird Al tickets! Now that is a thing of beauty

For you married folks... and QP..
QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 03:36 PM) I'm liking this plan. His sister asked when we had dinner Sunday and we looked at eachother and were like... "Hu..? We have to buy gifts..?" She was making a big deal out of it.. said we have to exchange them at the rehearsal dinner.. bla, bla, bla... I honestly never heard of such a thing. Both of us agreed that it is just another commericalization of marriage. It's crap, and mostly just to get you to spend more money you don't need to. We just saved the money we would have spent and had more fun on our honeymoon.

XM RADIO
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 02:41 PM) SS2k4, I noticed XM's stock is at around 30 and Sirius is at around 5. Do you know anything about either of these stocks? Nope, I don't get to follow stocks where I am, just futures. Now ask me about OJ or Pork Belly's and I can help you out.
