  6. Another con that I have heard is lack of focus...

  10. Damn, how could I have forgotten Elvis. I was thinking him last night, and completely forgot to post him
  11. thanks. Well the way it works is there are 10 or 11 actuarial exams, with each exam you pass your "rank" rises and subsequently, your position in a company/firm and your salary. The first test is mostly Calc I and II so i'll probably take that one this summer, but being only a junior, i wont take another for a few years. It takes time, 10+ years is not out of the question. Good luck Sonix! Now I know where to turn when I knock off my wife for the insurance money...
  12. After reading the Paul McCartney thread I am curious to hear what more people think. My list in no particular order Glenn Miller Frank Sinatra The Beatles Nirvana Run DMC
  13. Man am I glad I didn't draft him. Also Ray Allen is having a scope done (I tried hard to trade for him in a couple of leagues too, glad that fell through). A whole lot of early injuries to fight with. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=fanb...nball&type=lgns

  15. In his defense, what did those guys do after they left? I hate to say it but as talent evaluaters, and injury prognosticators, they have been right most of the time, espesially when it comes to pitching.
  16. Leighton gives up one goal and loses 1-0 http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/recap?gameId=231030004
  17. Yeah the Red Sox still owe him the difference of whatever he makes and what the Red Sox were supposed to pay him.
  18. I said yesterday for Koch, Konerko and $5M for each year of the remainder of Manny's contract, I would take hime. Manny and Magglio would not need much more around thema dn this would be fun to watch. Magglio-Ramirez-Thomas-Lee would be very dangerous. That trade sounds ideal for both teams in theory, but I don't see Frank and Manny exsisting at all. I don't think that it is any coincidence that Frank had his worst years with Albert Belle here. Not only does Manny have all of Alberts edge, he doesn't have Belle's legendary work ethic. It would be bad things.
  19. Well someone has until noon eastern time today to make that splash.
  20. I am going to go out on a limb here and say this. If Sandy Alomar is worth class A compensation, don't resign him. I think what we could get out of a #1 pick, versus the year, maybe two of at most 80 games out of him, I say take the pick. That is even more so if we get a supplemental pick as well. Essentially we would have 3 picks before the second round started, plus picks from guys like Colon, Everett, and Gordon leaving. Heck we could have as many as 10 picks before the beginning of the second round!
  21. I don't pay attention to what the analysts say about college hoops. I watch it myself and make my own opinions.
  22. The thing about gun control is all we have to do is enforce the laws that we have on the books now. We don't need more laws and worthless legislation. We need results.
  23. Overtime losses. Why do they count them, or what's the deal. A loss is a loss, is it not. They went to it a couple of years ago because the last 5 minutes of a tie game, and all of overtime everyone played not to lose, because they didn't want to lose the point. Now with being guarenteed a point for going to OT no matter what it gives people incentive to try to get the extra point for winning.
