There were so many games last year that we would have never gotten to use the closer, if it hadn't have been for Marte. He needs to be out there in the key situations in the 6th, 7th, and 8th innings, to get the game to the closer.

But for every Rangers team, there are teams like Ottawa who have zero budget and still put awesome teams on the ice. It can be done. True but there aren't enough small budget teams like Ottawa who r winnin. Maybe a Salary Cap is on the agenda in the next CBA to help stop rising player salaries and to keep a level playing field. Hockey needs a salary cap worse than baseball.
