Overtime losses. Why do they count them, or what's the deal. A loss is a loss, is it not. They went to it a couple of years ago because the last 5 minutes of a tie game, and all of overtime everyone played not to lose, because they didn't want to lose the point. Now with being guarenteed a point for going to OT no matter what it gives people incentive to try to get the extra point for winning.

Duke has a good shot at it this year, as does Syracuse. It will be interesting to see how the season plays out. It does sound like the big ten will be down overall this year.

Tony G is a terrible SS. Worse than Jose, plus he can't hit RH pitching. I would much rather see Jose back, vs Tony G starting at SS.

Just as a side note, our clubhouse cancer had 7 more Hr's, one more RBI, .060 less OPS and BA, a simliar SLG, and .037 less of a OBP. Is that worth $14 million?

I have a file I want to use as an av, but the link from the site is too long to fit within the space the site gives (by 2 characters) and when i saved it to my computer it saved as a .bmp file and it won't let me use that as an av. Anyone got any advice????

Not Carlos...He's on an upswing and is definitely a keeper for a while! Problem is his salary is going to start going up big time. He got paid $3.3 mil this year and is looking at least $5 this year, plus some big raises in the next couple years. The question that lies in that is could we find someone to take his place for less with the same or more skill than he possesses? Rowand has a while before he gets there, and guys like Ramierez will cost up the ass. He's worth the amount of which he is asking for. He's gonna be even better than last year next year offensively and defensively. He's consistently improving and will become an elite player before long. I've got very high visions for Carlos! It has nothing to do with if we can replace Carlos, and if he is worth the money. The problem is will Carlos's exponentially increasing salaries fit into the Sox budget along with the other money we have already committed.

I think this is a very astute point. Some people have thought that Colon with Pedro would be a great fit. Trying to dump Manny's salary likely sends a message to Colon's people. Maybe Colon's options ARE limited. Boston has already dropped big hints that the team as it is now, cannot afford Colon.

A year or two ago, Sean Lennon released the biggest piece of garbage mistakenly referred to as a record album I've ever heard. It's obvious that he gets none of his "artistic" side from his father but rather, his Beatles killing mother YokOhNo. Julian Lennon was actually pretty big in the 80's for a short time wasn't he? He's had some decent albums, but he's never been huge. When you have John Lennon to live up to, it's pretty much given that you'll be a failure musically. yeah...who could forget songs like "I'm Down" and "Paperback Writer" Don't go there with John Lennon. The guy is the best songwriter ever.

Or the owner for the past 20 plus years!
