  2. http://cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/gamecenter/r...0030731_DET@SEA Sounds like this might be a good time to play them...
  3. Really they have made it much harder to keep Jose under his BA #, by bringing in Robbie Alomar who might be about the only switch hitter who is worse from the right side than Jose. Now instead of Jose automatically sitting against Lefties, now sometimes it is Robbie sitting.
  4. Our owner is cheaper than JR.
  5. At 16 he wouldn't even have been born yet!
  6. Speak for yourself, I am a much better hitter than he is
  7. This was a tradition on the ESPN boards, and I figured what the hell, I will throw this out there. I ended the season (44-65) for an average .677, and an OBP of .687. I finished with one HR 11 doubles and 11 RBI, which ended me with a SLG of .892, and an OPS of 1.579. Most of this damage was done hitting lead off. Year end tourney is tommorrow, as is the all-star voting.
  8. The Royals can't take on the salary of both of them without some major purging going on.
  9. Another thing I don't like -- why bring up Jimenez a month after we get rid of him? Why trash the guy now? We've pretty much all said our "good riddance" and " :fyou 's", so what purpose does it serve to continue to bash him? Seems that we could come up with much more constructive topics of discussion. Got all of your grievences out? People bring up Ex-Sox players on here all of the time. It isn't unusual at all. Nah, those aren't all of my grievances (that would take a while, and I've got sleep to tend to), but that's the one bothering me most at the moment. And it's not the bringing up of former players that bothers me -- it's the bringing them up for the sole purpose of bashing them that bothers me. Seems pointless. Self justification. It is that simple. The whole need to give out the "I was right"s.

  11. basically yes. But you definately aviod bringing him in with runners on, or with one runs leads, or trying to keep us close so that we have a chance to rally... those kind of things.
  12. I am not talking about on the season, he will be under .270 with the Reds, by season's end. And people have their opinions, some change every minute, and on the other end of the spectrum some will never admit they were wrong. We have all kinds here.
  13. He will be under .270 for the year, book it.
  14. Life is a s***ty OBP and good money? Damn I am screwed.
  15. Actually it is a lot more typical for pitching to give up a lot more hits when their team scores a lot of runs. The pitchers throw a lot more first pitch fastballs challenging the hitters and trying to get them to put the ball into play. Also you tend to use you back of the bullpen pitchers a lot more in a blowout. The fact that we gave up a lot of hits isn't a big surprise.
  16. We have to have Billy kick his ass into gear, if we are going have an chance of making a deep run into the playoffs. I really hope he turns it around, but right now JM has to be extra smart about where and when he uses him. He needs to give Koch chances where he has a better than normal chance to succeed.
  17. This was very interesting in the Trib today.
  18. Thats the second time tonight you were a total ass. :fyou He wasn't posting much tonight
  19. And if he doesn't get his apology he is going to continue holding his breath... and if that doesn't work he is going to stomp and scream.
  20. Wow looks like being reunited with Ritchie did the trick again for Borchard. Can't wait to see him at Comiskey in Sept.
