I don't think he knew. I think that was a spur of the moment decesion that was pushed by the awful outing by Porzio requiring us to throw Glover for the 2nd time in two days both for more than one inning, Koch for 2 innings, and White for 2+ innings.

Those are 5 huge games, IMO. Think about it, there are less than 60 games left in the season, we need every game we can get.

White gave up 4 runs... and it is unrealistic to expect a pitcher to give up nothing in long relief. You hope they don't in the first time through the order, it is usually the 2nd time around that a pitcher gets hit.

Dude, maybe you don't realize, that we are playing the best ball we have all year. Take your hands from over your eyes for just a second and realize that we are 3rd in the league in ERA, 3rd in fielding, AND we are starting to hit. Today we just had an awful start from our fifth starter who has already been sent down, and you are freaking out like a nutcase. Get some perspective.
