  1. Oooh. That was NASTY. https://twitter.com/JayCuda/status/1521228433719705601?s=20&t=h4zjx0sDxy_MrCoJBVXnOw
  2. They aren't going to run him to 110 pitches yet.
  3. Not going to happen this early in the season.
  4. Cease's 3rd game with 1 hit and 10 or more K's tying him with one Chris Sale for the most all time by a Sox pitcher.
  5. Great outing by Dylan. Now we need six out from Graveman and Hendriks.
  6. That is not how arbitration works.
  7. Gutsy call to let Cease go a 3rd time, but so far so good, as he gets the extra couple of inches on the corner.
  8. And a HUGE upgrade in salary.
  9. You totally missed the other thread.
  10. The Mets are paying him either way. If the Sox feel like there is something there, they can offer to pick up a couple of million to jump ahead of anyone else who might feel the same.
  11. Also for the record, THIS is why you let Dylan Cease have extreme ups and a LOT of downs over his first few years. The arm was always there, but learning HOW to pitch (not throw) can take a while.
  12. I am just glad their hitting coach finally decided to tell the fellas it was OK to take a walk.
  13. Unless you have evidence that someone is telling them to swing more, yes. It is on the players. I mean a coach can talk until he is blue in the face, but it is the players who go out and execute the plan (or not in this case). It isn't like it is unheard of for players to either ignore coaching, or not be able to adjust to changes suggested by coaches.
  14. The players are the ones putting up stats.
  15. I have yet to see anything that actually shows that. In fact his statements this year have been quite the opposite.
  16. How is this "clearly" on Menechino?
  17. In theory, the Sox at this point COULD swing a trade and pick up some percentage of his salary in exchange for more of less of a return for the Mets.
  18. Not sure who screwed up there, but going to guess it was Garfien.
