The idea that the players are asking for something crazy just isn't true. The owners have already been taking a larger share of revenues and now want to grow the pie even larger are still not make the players get to where they were. They are down 5 full percentage points (or around 10%) of where they were in 2008 from 52 to 47% of revenues. That is literally what has happened in the last few years. Players shares of revenues are shrinking. That is what you are defending here.

More accurate would be a company with record profits and raising prices, cutting salaries because of inflation and offering the car salesman a smaller than usual commission on the sale because of inflation.

And I have no doubt that if Tony LaRussa had all of the baggage and history of Tony LaRussa and the skin pigment of Kenny Williams, Jerry will would have thrown process out the window to rehire him. Even the Sox sham interview was a guy who had a history here.

You are the saying the White Sox hired him because he was white, not me.

Get me a white dude is not the same as get me the guy who used to work for me. I am still curious of the evidence that Tony was hired because he was white.
