  1. Seeing Sox players fail isn't a good thing. You aren't a real fan if you take this much joy in it.
  2. [Insert sad and lonely Pablo Escobar meme]
  3. Give me the overreaction guy over the 1 agenda guy any day.
  4. Are you really trying to say that Eloy is a better OF? Put the laugh reacts away and man up and say it. Because if that is REALLY are trying to say, THAT is what needs to be laughed at.
  5. Mercedes has nothing to gain at AAA. He might need to be sent there, but not to learn anything new there. His gains will come at the major league level.
  6. Eloy's bionic shoulder would also like a word.
  7. No one is going to come out and publicly state that Eloy is getting demoted while he is still rehabbing. No one in the Sox organization is that dumb, well at least in upper management. But it should be really obvious that the fact that Andrew Vaughn can pay a passable LF means the Sox have options they didn't think they had 3 months ago, and those will have an effect going forward. Now whether that means Eloy goes to DH, or the Sox go with Eloy/Robert/Vaughn from left to right remains to be seen. It also could mean that Vaughn gets left, a new RF gets brought in, and again Eloy demotes to DH. But it should be really obvious that it is NOT a slam dunk that Eloy is the starting LF on Opening Day 2022.
  8. The quoted post is his numbers since the day after he hit the 3-0 homer.
  9. I am not going to worry too much about this. If the Sox keep playing decently with this many players out and infirmed, that is enough to get us to the playoffs, even if Cleveland significantly overperforms their talent this season.
  10. He must really look nimble at 3rd to be taking this shot with him at 2nd.
  11. That's just it, AV didn't need to be great, or even good. He's better than Eloy, which is plenty.
  12. If we get a couple of our set up men to be effective, we are plenty deep. If Hendriks and Bummer are on track, then really you need a couple of Crochet, Kopech, and Heuer to be able to easily cover innings 6-9 with a 5 inning start. Every extra inning a starter can give you is probably one less guy that needs to be good.
  13. If Cole Hamels was any where close to being Cole Hamels, Cole Hamels wouldn't be an unsigned free agent.
  14. Engel can play any OF position. That's enough.
  15. He was very obviously hurt when he went down, and we know how funny the Hamstring can be. Even if they do draw it out, that's cool. It allows us to not have to worry about dead arm and innings limits.
  16. They need to get him back when he is healthy. No other reason to rush him back.
  17. Billy Hamilton has a role on a championship team with his defense and base running. He got exposed for a while when we lost 4 of our top 5 OFs, but that doesn't mean even when he isn't hitting he can't help a team like this.
  18. I haven't looked up the D numbers, but by the eye test, I feel like Vaughn has been a better LF for sure.
  19. I am honestly surprised we brought up another pitcher if guys like Foster are barely pitching, and someone like Engel is still under playing restrictions.
