  1. Sorry, Jenks would be pretty lame as well.
  2. Bah, McCarthy at the top of the list would be pretty lame.
  3. I don't know but it's a pretty perfect rack and they look real to me.
  4. Man, that was highway robbery. It's hard to believe that they both made a million a piece and on the other side of town, Jose Macias also made a million and Neifi Perez made $2.5 million. I think I'm going to adopt a Dominican kid to be my son and groom him to be a crappy middle infielder.
  5. Anyone think Timo is going to go back to Japan to join Jose Macias?
  6. Haha, a perfect groundball pitcher for Great American Ball Park. Man, the Reds are so dumb. They will suck forever.
  7. They are supposedly going to sign Alex Gonzalez (the better one, oh wait, both A-Gonz's suck ass).
  8. I don't think that Gload sucks but to say that Michaels is barely better than him is inaccurate. Michaels is better at drawing walks, posts a high OPS, and plays good defense at a much more difficult position. Gload plays a good defensive 1B but he's a butcher in the outfield. And if you want to talk about small sample sizes with Michaels, Gload is even worse with only 338 career AB's. I never saw a report that Riske would be involved in the trade. I thought it was just supposed to be Crisp for Marte and Mota which would be a fine trade in my opinion. If it's Crisp and Riske for Marte and Mota, it's a bad trade.
  9. Same as it ever was - Theo to resume GM duties http://redsox.bostonherald.com/redSox/view...rticleid=122796
  10. The main reason the Twins struggled last season was because of their lack of offense. And I don't think they improved it enough to not stuggle to score runs in 2006.
  11. How many injury-prone starters do the Red Sox have? Let's see... Beckett, Schilling, and sometimes even Wells. And one of Boston's other starters is well-known for his proclivity to tanking in the second half (Clement). It's a good rotation on paper but so is Zambrano, Prior, Wood, Maddux, and Miller. If they don't actually pitch, it isn't a solid rotation. This is how I see the A.L. East right now... 1.) Yankees 2.) Blue Jays 3.) Red Sox 4.) Orioles 5.) Devil Rays
  12. I see the Twins finishing in 3rd place. Luis Castillo was a great pickup but Rondell White and Tony Batista? C'mon...
  13. Marte may not become a superstar but it wouldn't be too difficult for him to be better than Aaron Boone. I'd rather have Marte waiting in the wings than Josh Fields.
  14. But their lineup isn't better than last year's like some people seem to think.
  15. http://cleveland.indians.mlb.com/NASApp/ml...layer_id=121125 Rhodes had a 2.08 ERA in 43.1 IP last season. It's a nice trade for us in 2006 but after that...
  16. Ohhh, the IRONY of his nickname being "The Milkman" and who he looks just like.
  17. = ? Did Herbert Perry really have a second occupation?
  18. STOP!!! You're going to give me calluses.
  19. New-look Red Sox could use a makeover http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/5271546 Good article by Rosenthal.
  20. The Indians will always have to play this salary dumping for prospects game until Cheapiro raises the payroll. They had the fifth lowest payroll ($40,684,100 million) in the MLB last season. Also, I'm pretty sure Marte can also play some LF so if Casey Blake really sucks he could get called up.
