Boston @ Chicago - ALDS Game 2
When there's actually a movie made about the White Sox, then he can talk. :rolly

Graffy, Man of the Year!
He's always been a good contributor off the bench. He's never produced like this in his entire career and likely won't next season. That's my point. Graffanino always sucked at 3rd base. 2nd base is his best position. He's definately not an everyday 3rd baseman. But you're right about him being a good backup infielder.

That guy was talking out of his ass. The next poster right after him replied with, "You're kidding right?"

Graffy, Man of the Year!
When he goes back to his career norms next season, you won't like him as much and neither will the Red Sox. By the way, does anyone remember Graffanino's terrible error in a game against the Cubs when he was still playing for us? It ended up blowing the game for us. A guy on ESPN 1000 brought it up earlier.

Yeah, a .268 career AVG and a .336 career OBP. I like Tony G. a lot but it's quite obvious that this is a career year for him that isn't in line with any of his trends as a hitter. It's just not normal to add .041 points to your career AVG and .030 points to your career OBP in one season when you are 33 years old. He will more than likely not be this good again next season.

You seem to neglect to mention that Graffanino is having a ridiculous, career-best season. He probably won't be this good again next season. 2005 numbers: .309 AVG, .366 OBP, .425 SLG, .791 OPS Career numbers: .268 AVG, .336 OBP, .394 SLG, .730 OPS Also, check out ESPN.com's main page. It's already happening. Gaffe-anino David Wells couldn't cover up Tony Graffanino's error. The Red Sox might have reversed the curse last year. But the ghost of Bill Buckner has Boston back in an 0-2 ALDS hole following Wednesday night's 5-4 loss in Chicago.

Point taken. I disagree though. If Graffanino makes a play on a routine slow grounder, the series would likely be 1-1.

Whether I think so or not? I already said that I like Tony G. in my previous posts. And it won't just be the media spinning it that way. It will also be Red Sox fans. Many of them will blame Tony G. if the White Sox win the series.

Some posters at SoSH just posted this pic in regards to the Tony G. play... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v82/jrs362/tg.gif Seems like Tony G. is going to be Bill Buckner Part 2 if the White Sox win this series.

I like Tony G. but I sure am glad he botched that play. I still feel sorry for him though. Did you see the look on his face in the following innings? Buehrle just said he feels bad for him as well on ESPN 1000.

About what? Man, that's really pathetic. As if the monster at Fenway is of perfect design. Pop flies are homers over that thing. :headshake

Boston @ Chicago - ALDS Game 2
I honestly think that Ozzie is hoping that Jenks can get 6 outs. Not kidding either.

Boston @ Chicago - ALDS Game 2
Me too. But I wouldn't bring in Cotts or Jenks. Jenks needs to close.

Boston @ Chicago - ALDS Game 2
Yes, I have watched both games and Crede has been botching a ton of plays.

That ball hit Pierzynski in Piazza's favorite part of the male anatomy.

Wow, how did Nixon even hit that curveball?

From behind enemy lines
If the Red Sox were down 0-2 in the series, the media would still say to bet on Boston. :rolly
