  1. I was thinking the same thing.
  2. But, the problem I have is you attack first! You don't know everyone's stories. You don't know that I cut a toe off in a lawnmower and am "not fit" for service. In a previous post you attacked Reagan for "convientently getting out of serving." But, the truth is, he did. He just didn't go to war. Do you want to know why? Do you care to know why? His eyesight was so incredibly bad that he was just about leagally blind. That's why he had such a photographic memory. He couldn't read anything that was more than a few inches from his face. That's the fact! You know what those are, right?
  3. And of course, when all else fails, pull the "You've never served, my son has, you can't have an opinion until you put your life on the line" routine. :headshake DON'T QUESTION MY PATRIOTISM!
  4. I agree with all three of you. Should he be eligible? Yes, because the rules say so, but they need to change the rule.

    Osama and Hussein

I know. I pointed that out to Vince, but he just replied with his form letter: and the classic: He can't even admit when he's busted. He feels the need to trash the relationship of a dead man to feel better about what Clinton did/does.

Bull-f***ING-s***!!!! You accused him of adultery during the week? Is that waiting for a time and place? I asked for sources, you gave none. You are a weak sorry little man. And by the way, the administration you should be bashing is the UN. The UN is the group that gave the money to Osama and Saddam. Yes, with the OK and support from the US. It was a very different time and your manipulating of the facts to young people on here that didn't live through the Cold War and nuclear threats, it's just pathetic!
  11. It wasn't a big shock, but anyone who didn't have a lump in their throat watching Nancy and the children hugging next to the casket must be without a heart. To answer the Nixon thing: Yes, the mail stopped when Nixon died. Nixon had the oppurtunity to have a full State funeral similar to Reagan's, but refused it before he died. You see, the markets closing and the mail stopping was not directly caused by Reagan's death or funeral. It's because the President called for a National Day of Mourning. The NYSE has in their by-laws that when a NDoM is called for, they will halt trading. The USPS has in its Union contract that they will get the day off. I'm sure other Government workers union contracts are similar. I don't really understand the "Big 3" carrying the funeral either except that they felt they would lose out viewership to the cable networks or would piss off a lot of "Reaganites" by not covering it. It all comes down to money, even with the coverage of a funeral. Fox News was wall to wall Reagan all weekend.
