OMG A STRIKE CALLED ON THE OUTSIDE CORNER!?!??!?!?
-
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 07:46 PM) I hate Justin Morneau's face. He reminds you of that person you know that you just don't like, simply because they have a face you want to smack with an oar. That's how I feel too. Except I also feel that way about Span, Harris, Punto, Mauer, Gomez, Kubel, Cuddyer, Crede, Blackburn, Baker, Nathan, Liriano, etc.
-
Danks is falling off towards 3rd too much. That usually makes him get the ball up.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 07:44 PM) Beckham having a string of some bad at bats. Needs to get more aggressive at the plate. I wouldn't mind if he took some more hacks on the first pitch.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 07:42 PM) thome runs like he's wearing storm trooper boots That made me laugh, thank you.
-
Yay, a run. Park one Slayer.

WAY TO f***ING GO PAULIE! YOU f***ING SPEED DEMON, YOU!
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 07:36 PM) you're fired up, I like it! I'm just tired of getting bent over and brutally ass-rammed in this f***ing dome. Crede is a Twin now, meaning I f***ing despise him.
-
Wow, I am legitimately angry right now. Like, livid. With how f***ing flukey the Twins are in the dome as it is, we don't need the umpire f***ing us over too. f***ing bulls***. I'm on the verge of a meltdown.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 07:35 PM) pitching Richard on 3 days rest was absolutely idiotic Agreed. Just a moronic decision.
-
QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 07:34 PM) I STILL LOVE YOU JOE CREDE 2005 NEVER FORGET Bulls***, he's the enemy now. Grab some bench.
-
Just f***ing hit someone in the head or something. God I f***ing hate these guys.
-
This umpire is horses***. Just what we need in the dome.
-
I am so pissed right now. Just watching a game in this f***ing Dome disgusts me.
-
Fantastic start.
-
I am already frustrated. I f***ing hate the Twins and the stupid Dome.
-
Jason.......ouch.
-
I like Nix a lot more in a supersub role.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 06:13 PM) Temp fix and in the off-season you sign Figgins to play 3B until the Cuban tank slides over there. That makes a lot of sense actually. So for this year we'd be looking at: Pods LF Beckham SS Dye RF Thome DH Konerko 1B Pierzynski C Nix 3B Getz 2B Anderson CF and if/when Quentin returns, probably: Pods CF Beckham SS Dye RF Thome DH Konerko 1B Quentin LF Pierzynski C Nix 3B Getz 2b
-
I really don't think it'd be a wise idea to move Alexei, not for Halladay at least. I understand moving Beckham to SS, but then we'd have to play Fields or maybe Nix at 3rd? I wouldn't be upset if it happened, but I don't know if it's the right move in our situation.

This is the beginning of the Gordon Beckham Twin-Killer career. BTW, Danksy, pretends its 163 all over again.

Official 2009-2010 NBA Thread

Getting Bayless would be pretty damn good, but I'd "settle" with Outlaw or Webster and definitely Fernandez if it's going to break off the negotiations. -
QUOTE (kev211 @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 02:46 AM) My nails are short 24/7 because I bite them way too much. Like to the point where it hurts. Ditto. Too many sports games and too many movies make it even worse. I've been trying to cut down on it, but its hard.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 01:29 PM) I'm not opposed to Torres either, as a plan B. But Poreda should be Plan A at this point. And with Richard and Thornton in the pen, that gives Ozzie his two lefties, so you don't lose that. Colon should be plan C. I agree with this 100%. Poreda is a first round draft pick and made his way up our minor league ranks relatively fast. He's known to have a very good fastball and a plus slider when he can throw it over the plate. We saw that the other day. It was nasty. And for people saying that he hasn't shown any spectacular stuff since he's been up, well all I can say is that part of it is because he's throw only 7.2 innings and also because he's been coming out of the bullpen. I don't think people realize how hard it is, after you've been purely a starting pitcher for the past 4-5 years to get up and come out of the bullpen. Your routine is thrown off, you don't know when your going to pitch and how much, and it takes a converted starter much longer to get ready in the pen than the reverse. Give him a shot. He has a great ERA in AA with good peripherals and we called him up. He's our top pitching prospect, you can't give up on him as a starter right away.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 11:54 AM) Pick a random player from the lower levels of the Indians system who is totally unheralded and probably has a 5% chance of ever making the big leagues and a 0.1% chance of ever being really good. That's fair value. Exactly. At this point, we were ready to cut him loose for nothing. If a team actually WANTS to give us anything for him, you do it.
