  1. QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Dec 25, 2005 -> 11:08 PM) Ive already got all mine. Going to the first game we play and boy am i excited. Also i just want to say that Grossman played so much better than his numbers showed because Muhsin Muhammed is turning into The second coming of Dave terrell. I am personally sick of this s***. If muhammed had caught those perfectly thrown balls to him this game would have been a blowout and we wouldn't have to see olin kreutz go in even after he was hurt. Just shut your mouth and catch the damn ball! We won, calm down. With David Terrell, we weren't winning. And numbers don't do him justice considering his mentorship with the young recievers and his leadership off the field. IMO, if Grossman were the QB all season, his numbers would be way better. But thats no excuse. He has dropped a lot of passes.
  2. Thank you dear lord, for shedding the light of Rex Grossman upon the 2005 Bears. The defense didn't play too well today but we won so I dont care. 2005 Division Champs!!!!!!!!
  3. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Dec 25, 2005 -> 07:26 PM) Oh and would you look at that, Grossman makes a 54 yard completion to Berrian. When's the last time Kyle Orton did one of those? I'll take "Never" for 1000 Alex.

I'm right there with you on this one Jas. I absolutely hated Sin City. To me, it was quite boring and the flow of the movie just didn't sit well with me.
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Dec 24, 2005 -> 02:59 AM) All I know about soxfan1 is he always accuses me of stealing his name whenevr we are in the chat room during white sox games That was like twice dude! And I did have it first! :finger
  7. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 24, 2005 -> 02:56 AM) When Soxfan1 just had a quote at the bottom of his sig, saying "He Called" Kenny being the best GM in baseball, and this team was special, he deserves the heat he gets. You got some balls on you Soxfan1, I'll give you that. I'm a lost human at times. A few frustrated posts and you get a bad rep. It doesn't bother me really. I deserve all the critique and heat I get but I try to run with it and learn from it. Frustration takes over and you become Public Enemy #1. There's nothing I can do about it. It's the way I am....but I'm working on it. And on top of it, I am not here to make enemies or piss people off (although it might seem that way sometimes) and I am not here to hold grudges. At the end of the day, this is still SoxTalk and we are all here for 1 common reason; because we are ALL diehard White Sox fans no matter what.

HAROLD AND KUMAR GO TO AMSTERDAM! YES! More Harold and Kumar
  9. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) Good to see you can predict the future now. I try.
  10. Am I the only one that thinks that the Diamondback absolutely rape the Blue Jays in this deal? As previously mentioned, the Blue Jays have 5 or 6 guys to cram into 3 positions. Hudson and Batista are 2 quality players. The Diamondbacks are going to have a solid infield and this bolsters their pitching staff. I don't know if they are going to have Batista as a closer or starter but it is still quite the addition. I know the DBacks had Lyon as the closer so I don't know where their going with that one but it is still a good deal for them.
  11. QUOTE(Tmar28 @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 07:41 PM) haha man you just don't learn. since this thread has been about irony. i'm definitely a homer to say that a 3-time pro bowler is actually good? i back up how a pro bowler does not suck and you back up how a playoff team is a osuper bowl contender. they are pretty similar, n? if you are gonna say stuff, at least be consistent. Dude, you said Roy Williams was a GREAT safety. Don't bring all that into this thread, please.
  12. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 06:39 PM) Idonno I think the only offensive upgrade we need for the offense is a TE. The WR's arent great but I think Bradley/Berrian/Gage are good enough to compliment Muhsin the way this team is setup. Than a course some OL depth would help too but those can be taken in 3rd/4th round. I think its important to keep the defense up.... So I wouldnt mind us taking some defensive talent in the 2nd or 3rd round in next draft either. IMO, Bradley was a big loss for us. If we could draft or sign a definite nomber 2 just to have that tandem like Moulds/Price, Owens/Rice, Harrison/Wayne, or Mathis/Martin were/are then that opens up more of a pass game. Having Mush and a big threat #2 would allow Bradley to be the slot reciever on most plays and get his confidence up. Just for comparison, we'll use the 49ers of the late 90's. Rice was the main guy and JJ Stokes was their big #2 guy. Then, they put TO in as the third option and let him play the slot so he can grow. Look how that turned out (on the field.) Bradley definitely has some talent but I just dont think he is a #2 WR yet.
  13. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 05:14 PM) You're the one that claimed the Bears were championship caliber. So is Seattle, and they'd have to play in Seattle. The only team I see that could beat the Colts from the NFC is Seattle. It's still a weak conference near the top in many respects, and you saw that when a wild-card-ish team from the AFC handled the Bears. I will say, as I have before, you guys have a QB now, and that helps immensely. Playing Seattle in Seattle would definitely be a tough match-up for the Bears but this defense is just amazing. The Falcons had the #1 rush numebrs in the NFL and the Bears dominated them. I think the passing game of the Seahawks is a bigger threat to the Bears than the rush is. I am not saying that the Bears should pray for someone to upset the Seahawks but it wouldn't hurt. But honestly, I say bring on the 'Hawks, let's see what the Bears D can really do. And yes, Grossman does give the team a different energy and look on offense. Defense actually have to worry about the pass now....even if it is just a little bit. A passing game led by Rex is >>>>>> non-existent passing game led by Orton.
  14. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 05:08 PM) You guys feel confident in the Bears D, I feel confident in the Colts D. I really doubt the Bears would make it past a matchup with Seattle at this point, however. Indy needs to get healthy too, Harrison's hand injury worries me, as does Cato June's potpourri of problems. Hijacking the Bears thread I see.
  15. QUOTE(POPPY_HIDALGO @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 05:05 PM) Any sites out there as dedicated to the Bears as this site is dedicated to the Sox. I'd love to get involved in that community. Who are you? Which "banning was uncalled for?" Anyways, I don't post at any Bears Message Boards but some I have visited include: http://bears.hosttown.com/index.php http://kffl.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=13
  16. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 05:00 PM) Benson practiced and will likely play. Supposedly if they clinch on Sunday, he's expected to get an extended look against Minny. I don't like that idea. He's had his glimpses but I wouldn't want to risk re-injuy, like Kalapse said. I'd put AP in instead.
  17. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 04:57 PM) They say time is the fire in which we burn.... I don't get it. But I right there with ya hi8is. I miss baseball. But the Bears are there to alleviate my need for it!
  18. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 04:45 PM) It looks like Benson is listed as Questionable for Sunday and he did practice yesterday. I just highly doubt that they'll send him out there with 2 games to go and risk reinjury to his knee. No argument here.
  19. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 04:39 PM) Harris said yesterday that he'll play vs the Packers. Benson on the other hand I'd assume will be held out, most likely for the rest of the regular season. Last I saw he was doubtful for Sunday. I thought CSN had Benson listed as probable the other day. But I agree, let him get back to full strength over the regular season and have him set for the playoffs. AP was really a surprise to me this season. All the RB's have shown that they can run with the rock. And I am glad Harris will be back. McGowan and Green have done above what we expected while Brown and Harris were gone. I really like the depth the Bears have.
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 04:34 PM) That's an aweful lot of words I'll give you that. For the first 13.5 games of the season the Bears had one of the s***tiest offenses I have seen in my lifetime. We had the worst QB in the NFL and our recievers couldn't get open to save their lives. The one good thing the Bears had going for them on the Offensive side of the ball was the run game. Thomas Jones and Adrian Peterson gave this time the only bit of offense this team had. Now for the utra Kool-Aide sounding, flip of the coin, question mark filled part of my post. Rex Grossman is the QB that this offense has been waiting for, he's one of the reasons Moose caim to Chicago. Grossman could give this team what it needs to make it a solid contender in the playoffs as opposed to the one and done team I've seen for first 13.5 games of the season. Rex is the far superior QB to Orton whom we had to indure for most of the year, if he can play the way I, a lot of Bears fans, football fans and Bears management feel he can play we could finish out these two final games against s*** teams with a legit passing attack and take that into the playoffs. The defense needs to keep up thier ultra fast paced gameplay and not have s***-tackleing Sundays like they did against the Steelers. I'm not worried about them especially since Brown and Harris will be back to finish off the year as will Hunter, so they'll be at full strength going into the playoffs. The Bears defense is Superbowl caliber, the offense on the other hand is just a giant IF. The Bears need Rex to somehow avoid injury and play up to his talent along with Thomas Jones continuing his excellent production and this team could do something in the playoffs. Do you know the injury updates on Harris and Benson???
  21. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 04:30 PM) its funny, there's this little event known as christmas happening in two days. im not sure but that might have something to do with it. Uuum, I am pretty sure he is referring to the fact that we won the series like 2 months ago and it is still very busy.
  22. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Dec 23, 2005 -> 04:17 PM) And you're Captain f***ing King of "subtance". GMAFB. Uuum, no. I don't make definitive statements and not at least elaborate on them a little. Oh, and the Colts are not a championship team. Now find the irony.
