  2. Holy s*** they did lose. Ha. I was out all day so I missed everything, we had to watch Steelers/Vikes in Bennigans. Oh well.
  3. Oh, by the way, the White Sox were 11-0 in the postseason when Bill Melton did pre/post game. They lost the only game he missed. (Game 1 ALCS, Ron Kittle)
  4. QUOTE(TimoandAaron @ Dec 18, 2005 -> 01:43 AM) how about Cal Eldred? Played great with the Sox in 2000 and helped them win the division but was quite injury prone. I can't think of anyone certain so.... Brian Simmons? Craig Wilson?
  5. QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 17, 2005 -> 12:56 AM) That was supposed to be mine! Edit: #7238 Dude, I was just kidding. I thought it would be too obvious lol.
  6. Here's a little WS wallpaper I out together real quick...
  7. Taveras wasn't good on the road? Did you guys miss the World Series where Taveras was their most successful and consistent hitter? Uum, he rocked at the Cell in those 2 games. I know, I know, it's too small of a example to judge but he was the Astro's best offensive player in the World Series. I'd take him on the Sox (along with a prospect or 2) for Garland.
  8. I consider myself blessed, of all the possible numbers, I recieved none other than 2005.
  9. I'd do Berkman for Garland but Houston wouldn't.
  10. Well, I ended up downloading VirtualDj and it is pretty awesome. Helped me mix the Chicago Bulls intro theme with The Perculator perfectly.
  11. What about VirtualDJ? It sounds nice and simple.
  12. I'm doing a project for school in which we have to make our own commercials and add our own music to them. So, I need to know if anyone knows of or uses any programs that can mix music. Kinda like an Adobe Photoshop but for music. I need to mix a couple songs for a commercial. Any help? Thanks in advance.

  14. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 16, 2005 -> 12:21 AM) I challenge you to substantiate that etymology – that 'holiday' derives directly from Christmas and not from any and all other observed holy days. Certainly there were scads of pre-Christian and non-Christian holy days (we're all well aware that early Christians coopted an existing Roman holy day feast on which to build the birth of Christ observance). And there are other Christian holidays other than Christmas that have been around for a long time. What is known about Christmas that conclusively tells us that is where the contracted holiday (= holy day) comes from? WTF have they been feeding you down in Florida?
  15. Anybody see the Chicago Tribune Live poll this evening?
  16. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 11:18 PM) Tomorrow I'm going sledding for the first time in this winter season. Sledding is highly underrated in today's society!
  17. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 09:52 PM) Not sure who the writer is, but he's from MSNBC and has some very nice things to say about our offseason: 4th line buddy....
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 06:56 PM) You are officially eliminated from this game for listing a player that has already been talked about. I didn't see his name anywhere. You said Mark Johnson.....I said Mark L. Johnson.
  19. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 06:50 PM) Yeah because Blalock wasn't supposed to be offered up in that Beckett deal at all. Oh, I remember that now. Whoopdee frickin doo. 1 deal. Soriano has been mentioned in trades since he was acquired from the Yankees.
  20. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 06:47 PM) Played for the Sox briefly in '86. Last man to hit 50 HRs in a season before Cecil Fielder. Ken Hill. Luis Andujar or Liu Rodriguez I was just about to post Liu Rodriguez. I remember him being like one of the Sox top prospects in the middle infield when Ray-Ray was still here. Haha. Mark L. Johnson
  21. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 06:47 PM) If he's such a stud player, then why is he one of the guys they are always willing to give up in trades? I liked the Pods trade simply because it gave us a leadoff hitter not named Aaron Rowand. Well, there is this thing in baseball called pitching. The Texas Rangers have none. And Soriano was the only guy they were "always willing to give up in trades."
