  1. QUOTE(wherehaveyougoneharold @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 09:04 PM) Thanks for posting these. I'm piecing them together and making a wallpaper for my widescreen notebook!! Nobody's posted a widescreen yet, and I've been looking ofr an excuse to teach myself photoshop. I'll post it when its done if anyone is interested. Don't be fooled, I'm not Deploder or anything. Sounds pretty cool.

  3. QUOTE(joeynach @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 08:59 PM) Garland is not going to be traded. The only way hes going to be traded is if they can't agree on a 1 year deal on go to arbitration, the sox dont want to pay $10 mil this year for him. I can see them argreeing to a $7 mil deal or so for this year. Thats not to say he doesn't get traded at the deadline if the sox can get good players in return for him. What more likely is a trade of Harris or Gload + prospects for some available relievers like Batista (tor), Julio (O's), or Baez (rays). GM's are not high when making trades. Sorry....DENIED.
  4. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 09:00 PM) Let's look at 2nd halves as well. You're just scratching and digging for numbers now....
  5. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 08:55 PM) Yes, let's just unnecessarily reward players for what they have done in the past. That will get us far. Shhhhh............duck for cover.
  6. Raptors lights out from the arch.....6/10 so far.

  8. Crede ZR - .774 Blalock ZR - .778 Crede RF - 2.56 Blalock RF - 6.75 Career #'s FYI... EDIT: Incorrect Blalock numbers...these are his numebr at 2nd base. His numbers at 3B: ZR - .748 RF - 2.57
  9. Didn't see a thread.... Currently 28-24 Toronto in the 2nd.
  10. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 08:36 PM) Thank you. I was off, but its still pretty piss poor. Any time.
  11. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 08:32 PM) Which explains the RBI's, but Blalock still puts a hurt on the ball. I could argue his away stats all day with you, but bottom line is that he is better on the road then Crede is at home. What did Crede hit at the Cell last year, like .220 something? .235 at home in 2005.
  12. QUOTE(SoxPride56 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 08:07 PM) Can I use the buehrle one please? Go right ahead...you can link it from the big one or use this one I resized for you...
  13. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 08:21 PM) I think we all know that fielding percentage simply doesn't tell you enough about fielding to measure a player's true contribution for almost any player. I totally agree. I just put it out there for comparison/conversation.
  14. QUOTE(peanut33tillman @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 08:20 PM) Um i believe the prospect would be coming to us and Hank Blalock is a helluva defensive 3rd baseman and a downgrade from Joe? I dont know about that man...I live down here in Texas and have the oppurtunity to see the Rangers play quite a bit and Blalock has an excellent glove at the hot corner, Hank offensively>Joe offensively...Hanks D=Joes D both great fielders but it is by no mean a downgrade defensively Hank can really flash some leather my friend The numbers don't lie: But if given the choice of 1 guy to make a play to win a game at 3B, I'll take Joe.
  15. QUOTE(sircaffey @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) Wilkerson by no means "sucks". Anyone who hits in Washington is going to see a decrease in their hitting, mainly power. That stadium is ridiculous. Ridiculously ginormous and a pitchers park. Look at guys like Loaiza, Hernandez, and Patterson and how their numbers jumped up in 2005. Then look at Vidro, Wilkerson, etc. and see the decrease in offense.
  16. .962 FP at 3B for Blalock for his career while it is .964 for Crede.
  17. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 08:10 PM) 2005: $800,000 2006: $3,000,000 2007: $4,750,000 2008: $5,950,000 2009: free agent Holy f*** that is cheap.
  18. Anyone know Blalock's contract situation?
  19. Wow. That sounds like quite a nice deal for the Sox.
  20. QUOTE(knightni @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 06:58 PM) BRING BACK "TOKEN SOUP BOY!" /end capslock LMAO. I was wating for someone to say something. Surprisingly, it took a while.
  21. This would be super huge for the Sox if he reups and pitches like the playoffs/2nd half of last season. I think confidence was the big thing with him. Obviously, the ability was there but Coop and Ozzie helped mold him into what he is now. 8-10 million a year is a steal compared to what pitchers are getting now.
  22. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 06:55 PM) For half a year. I don't consider being here for half of a year meaning we developed him. Garland yes, simply because he spent most of his time in the Sox minor leagues instead of the Cubs. Buehrle yes. Crede yes. Cotts is debateable because he did come from the A's system. Again, the key phrase is "in some way."
  23. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) HE GAWN!
