  1. 24 hours from now I will be wearing the exact same thing as I was in game 1 of the ALDs.....oddly enough, a Miguel Tejada All-Star jersey.
  2. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 04:32 PM) Tony; your right I am giving him s***. He knows....and it you're not your.
  3. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 04:07 PM) That movie was as unrealistic as it was funny. I never laughed so hard as when the tornadoes ripped apart LA, then this janitor opens a door and finds the rest of the building gone. HAHA! I know but it just brings the movie to my head. The reporter getting PWNED and anhialated by the billboard was best.
  4. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 03:48 PM) The Padres Same train of thought...
  5. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) I'd rather face the Yankees. Why? With Anaheim, there's: a) Our West Coast curse B) They're basically a better version of us, with better hitting c) Strong starters/great relievers d) They were better than us against us regular season (which I know doesn't count, like with Boston, but still...) e) Do YOU want to be watching those freakin' games that start at 9PM CT? At least the NYC ones get underway at 6 our time! Reasons for the Yankees: a) Nothing puts an "!" on a ALCS like beating the world-famous Yankees B) More people will be watching; even the more reason to spank them c) I hate them and their fans d) Their starters are on shaky, shaky ground e) We've beat them in their own house f) Sure Rivera's lights-out, but so what? g) Hey George: take a look at our $70MM payroll kicking your $200MM+ payroll ass! h) Just the cache of being able to say we beat the BoSox and the Yankees to win the AL! But that said, if we draw Anaheim, then so be it. The upside is that if we beat them, we bury that West Coast s*** once and for all. At least when it counted. How does that make sense? The records are there to differ. Our pitching > Angels pitching. IMO

    SOSH

    QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) Well, they are humble in defeat at least I do agree. The BoSox fans screaming "Beat the Yankees!" kinda offset the dumb ones lol.
  7. QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 03:27 PM) Thats beautiful . thanks a million - Great sig =) ! No problem. Glad you like it.

    QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) Unlike most teams, the red sox fans seem to be a real class act. Can't say the same for Yankee fans or particularly Cub fans. The Red Sox fans will definitely be pulling for us IF we play the yanks which seems strange since we just eliminated them. I heard the opposite when we faced the BoSox at the Cell!
  9. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 03:14 PM) Now that is plain insluting.. You brought it upon yourself.
  10. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 03:20 PM) Have you ever been right in your life? Do you even WATCH baseball? Maybe you were too busy trying to figure out scenarios to get Rus Ortiz here next year. AJP is probably even slower than Konerko, in fact they both said it was close. Molina is widely regarded as the slowest man in baseball, that is a FACT. I expect this from you, honestly, you arent even man enough to admit you were wrong about this team, about all your offseason moves, and about KW being executive of the year. I wouldnt expect you to be man enough to admit you were wrong in this case either. Your posts have lost all relevance in this thread and on this board, and only YOU can correct that. Holy flipping s***. Made me spit out my laffy taffy!
  11. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) What has he done for me lately? Sorry we cant live up to your standards Hawk...
  12. QUOTE(Felix @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 03:07 PM) Timo played first this year, why dont we put him there? Wouldnt it be the same thing as putting Dye there? So can we just, like, drop this because it has no relevance to what the Sox plan on doing THIS season.
  13. QUOTE(daa84 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 02:38 PM) i thought talkin about next year was for the offseason? theres an ALCS tomorrow guys Uuuum, duh! I dunno but all I gotta say is that Ortiz is not the slowest. That double he had in game 2? would have been a single for PK.
  14. Columbus b-days are abundant. Happy birthday to all!
  15. When thinking of all these natural disaters, does anyone think of the movie "The Day After Tommorrow"????
  16. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 01:23 PM) Nice sig A compliment from THE Deploderer! :gasps: J/K. Thanks Simon.
  17. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 12:53 AM) If Marte actually pitches in the next series I will just turn my TV off and turn it back on when I think he's done pitching. I can't handle Marte's drama. Do you really want to turn the TV on to a bases loaded, nobody out jam?
  18. This has also made me realize that PK could be turning into the Derek Lowe of the 2005 playoffs?
  19. God dang it PK pisses me off. He blows in the 1st half when we dont need him then goes on a tear when the rest of the team is stinking in the 2nd half but then is super clutch in the playoffs. 2/3....not bad, resign him. He and MB are obviously the glue in the clubhouse.
  20. I am pretty happy they kept it for Tuesday. Either the Yanks or Angels will be tired. Let them celebrate...a lot!
  21. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 01:22 PM) The biggest upgrade this team had this season was from last year's catching core to this year's catching core. While you could argue that the pitching really stepped it up, I agree. Widger + AJ > Ben Davis + Miguel Olivo. If only we still had Mark L. Johnson....

    Jersey

    I bought a Shingo jersey for 200 last year....yeah, that sucks. Go with Big Bobby!
  23. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 11:06 PM) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ What she said times Infinity squared.
  24. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 11:29 PM) http://filebox.vt.edu/users/nvp1986/CheapShotUVa_Kiwi.wmv Just absolutely ridiculous. That kid is in alot of trouble on the field and off the field. This personal information has been posted all over the web. I hope that kid never plays football again, actually I hope he plays one more game and gets absolutely ripped apart, MCL/ACL/PCL on both legs torn up so he can never walk normal again. 100% agreed. If I coached BC, I'm telling my guys to go after him. That is sickening.
