QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 12:04 AM) Having a good defense in front of him helped Aebischer immensely. But now they've lost Foote who was one of their top 2 D-Man, and IIRC wasn't Aebischer really shaky at parts during the last season and the playoffs? vs Dallas: 4-1-0 2.00 GAA vs San Jose: 2-4-0 2.33 GAA 2.08 GAA for the playoffs with a .922 SV% -

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 11:56 PM) I appreciate all the insight you've brought to this thread... :rolly Thanks. I see that this comment adds a lot to the thread as well. I was simply welcoming someone back. Sorry, ban me! :headshake Anyways, to keep the thread on track, why would Colorado need a goalie? Simply as a back-up, no? Aebischer had some nice numbers. 32-19-9 with a 2.09 GAA in the 04-04 season is not too shabby. He is up there in quite a few stats... -
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 11:51 PM) The picture was messed up there to begin with. I'm not even sure how I did what I did. You should stick with the one you have..........IMHO of course.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 11:24 PM) sorry to tell you fellas, but Dale Tallon made the comment that everything is in place, and that all of his players have reported. I think he might be done. That leaves our offense.... :puke Welcome back there killer! -

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 05:27 PM) Hmmm, I'll have to have a little chat with Mr. Kariya. Kap, any news on who the Hawks might target next? Trade? FA? Any good wingers still available? -

QUOTE(GBlum27 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 05:09 PM) Kariya signs with the Preds for less than LaPointe Well, that just sucks. 2.25 mil a year in Nashville or 5 mil to play a few hundred miles northwest? What other top tier wingers are left? -

QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 02:29 PM) I don't think he was the MVP of the game, but he was the starter for the West. He had an awesome 1st half that year, but was downhill after the All Star game. Your right, 2003 was Heatley when he scored the 4 goals and 2004 was Sakic with the hat trick. -

QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 03:36 PM) I fail to see how Karkovice is "back on track" over Konerko. He weighed more than his batting average. Because Officer Karkovic is the man!

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 02:09 PM) I hope he's healthy. I always remember hearing about how much potential and ability Daze had. He always came off as a tough player to me and seemed to be productive when on the ice (in the few games I saw and I'm a total novice when it comes to Hockey). He was an All-Star in his last fully-healthy season IIRC and he DID win MVP of that game. I wouldn't trade him just yet...or ever, unless there is something we don't know. -

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 02:05 PM) 4th liner. He's replacing Nichols who become a UFA. Everyone over on BHZ says its a good upgrade (not a major move, but he's better than Nichols who was the previous 4th line center). Good news for the Hawks then. Any updates on Kariya or Palffy? -

Apparently, Edmonton offered Kariya a 1 year, 2.5-3 million dollar deal: If this is true, I woud highly doubt he takes this offer instead of the Hawks offer. With the Hawks, he's make 5 mil a year but he would only make 1/2 that in Edmonton. I guess it is up to him to decide, less money in Edmonton or more money in Chicago... -
Wow. This is very sad and unfortunate news for the Kelly family. I give them my prayers....
