QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 04:00 PM) Um, Comcast SportsNet in Chicago just put on "This Week In Baseball". Instead of the Sox game. Now it is back, without Hawk and DJ. I like it! Ok, finally back to life...

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 08:07 PM) Thanks for your guys questions. Were going to mix some of them in with last years questions and a few things we came up with to add. Were gonna begin work on the feature tonight and hopefully in a week the responses will be up. Also, were always open to feedback from this sense, if people want to know about a prospect and want to know a good amount about them, ask us and we'll probably write up a story on it cause if one person is interested, usually a few more people would be interested in that player as well. You think you could right something about Ryan Meaux for me? Oh.......wait.... -

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 02:16 AM) I know what they added, my point is I doubt that the upgrades are that drastic. As I said, Muhammad is an upgrade, but that still leaves us with only one legit receiver. That still is a weak spot. The line may or may not be stronger in my book since we didn't exactly add Walter Jones. We're moving Tait, one of our stronger linemen, to a spot where he may or may not work out as well. Miller, however solid we think he is, is still probably a downgrade from Tait, and Garza is only decent. I already mentioned Benson and his issues, and the other acquisitions aren't exactly earth shattering. As I said, I think it comes down to whether or not Grossman can be credible, and I have my doubts. If he can come in and throw in the mid 3000's with a 20/10 ratio, that's huge and might push them up a bit more than my assessment. However, I find that highly unlikely. 1st off. Tait is a natural RT, we needed him at LT last year because thats where Rex needed the most blocking. Miller is a good mix of a run blocker and pass blocker. Look at what he did for Eddie George. And yes Rex still has lots to prove but I think it can be done and a playoff team can be fielded...

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 10:57 PM) I dunno, those hats are just b****in' is all. Is there some sort of inside joke here? Seriously, did you, like, research Serbian soldiers??? FYI, the Serbian soldiers wore sajkace (plural) instead of helmets.

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 12:49 AM) I still say 9 wins, tops. I also don't see us scoring more than 30 points unless our defense chips in a TD or two. The most points we scored last year in any game was 24, and I'm not so sure we upgraded that much. Muhammad is an upgrade, but he needs someone to get him the ball, Benson needs to get in camp sometime soon if he wants to make any kind of impact, and I only see the line as marginally better. It's all going to come down to Grossman, who's got very little experience and can't seem to stay healthy. Our defense looks good, but it won't matter much if we can't score. FWIW the additions were: Muhsin Muhammad Eddie Berlin Cedric Benson Mark Bradley Kyle Orton Doug Brien Roberto Garza Fred Miller with the only subtractions being Krenzel, Tucker, Edinger, and Quinn. They have an easy schedule and solidified their Offensive Line and WR....

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 11:30 PM) "Bruan" Urlacher? Nice work though. Unfortunately nothing can beat the March 24, 2005 cover of Rolling Stone as my current wallpaper. Is the "U" not right next to the "I"?

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 11:15 PM) The Sox don't do this often; I'm going to choose to enjoy this. Don't get me wrong. I am enjoying this just as much as the next big Sox fan but IMO, he is right, brace yourself for the worst but hope for the best.
-
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 11:11 PM) Do you honestly think this team is not going to make the playoffs? Sure it's possible that we don't. But are you really that cynical? Expect the worst, hope for the best. I think that is his philosophy and I am sticking with that too.
