  1. QUOTE(3E8 @ May 15, 2005 -> 11:02 AM) Shimizu currently has 2.72 ERA and is 4-2 in 7 games. Does he get run-support from his offense? Shoot, he's probably better than what Freddy has been doing this season.
  2. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 15, 2005 -> 11:02 AM) Here's the guy's page of Japanese Baseball, 10-11 last season with a 3.40 ERA, 126/42 K/BB ratio. http://www.japanesebaseball.com/players/pl...p?PlayerID=1193 Beat you to it!

  4. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 15, 2005 -> 10:58 AM) If only it was Daisuke Matzusuka. He has never had an era over 3.97! He has a 3.24 career ERA and eats innings alive!
  5. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ May 15, 2005 -> 10:56 AM) Beats me. Whoops.....must have overread that. Well..........releiver or starter?
  6. Any links? Who is this guy? Position?
  7. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 15, 2005 -> 10:40 AM) Perry didn't get re-signed by the Rangers, so I assume he's back at his milk farm in Florida. Figures I'd get that info from you...

  9. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 14, 2005 -> 07:44 PM) You can ask your doctor about Cialis. Bob was a sad "little" man. Then he tried Cialis. Now, Bob has a happy lady at home...
  10. QUOTE(flippedoutpunk @ May 12, 2005 -> 09:52 PM) Yeah, something like those...
  11. Point of the game is to find out what the hell happened to those former Sox players we used to love.... Mike Sirotka? Herbert Perry? Mike Caruso?
  12. SoxFan1 replied to Steff's topic in SLaM
    Why did your mom marry your dad? What would it take to make your mom perfect? :banghead
  13. Fungo's are longer, thinner baseball bats. Primarily wooden and hollow. They are used for infield/outfield practice.
  14. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 14, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) btw that broken bat single from Konerko was great especially since he stared at it like it was a HR lol. Ya, I was just waiting for him to do the Sammy Hop.
  15. The Milkman was definitley a favorite of mine too. I also kinda liked Mike Caruso. But Sirotka is my all-time favorite Sox pitcher. I loved that guy!
  16. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 15, 2005 -> 03:28 AM) A comparison: Scott Podsednik .270 AVG .388 OBP 0 HR 10 RBI 22 SB 20 R 21 BB 11 SO Carl Crawford .272 AVG .302 OBP 3 HR 19 RBI 11 SB 22 R 7 BB 28 SO 11 K's to 28 and 21 BB's to 7...........I'll take Scotty PLUS the 2x SB's.
  17. 3-5 vs the O's with a 3.69 ERA??? That means FreddyG needs some more run-support like we have been giving Jon this year. Go SOX!!!!
  18. It seems fitting, but kinda eerie, how the "Motherf***ing b****ass Dips*** Passionless Sox!!!" thread was locked with EXACTLY 666 replies. Just thought that needed to be noted. Anyways. I gotta right something so this thread isnt deleted so.... I am extremely proud of the Sox this season. Their ability to find ways to win is amazing. From the 1 or 2 blowouts, to the bases-loaded walks, to the late-inning rallies, to the nottom-of-the-9th thrillers, this team has done it's job. Pods is getting on base, Gooch is getting him over or in, the middle of the line-up is lacking but still contributing, AJ and Uribe have been absolutely SOLID at the bottom of the order. The bench has been extraordinary. Timo has been solid. Gload contributed when healthy. Lopez was able to come in in Uribes absence and contribute. Willie played well last night. Widger has been AWESOME starting for AJ and coming in and Ph-ing. And you cant forget Ozuna who has been solid and kept his good-hitting since ST.
  19. 1) Frank Thomas 2) Robin Ventura 3) Mike Sirotka 4) Carlton Fisk 5) Ray Durham 6) Shingo Takatsu 7) Scott Podsednik 8) Shoeless Joe 9) Keith Foulke 10) Bobby Thigpen
  20. Tadahito Iguchi
  21. Awesome game. Hermy = Greatets Off-Season Acquisition so far. Where would we be without him and WITH Shingo closing? BTW, Dye = Worst.............so far.
  22. QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ May 13, 2005 -> 10:40 PM) On the radio, they just said that the Oriole's we're questioning the height of the mound and the umps we're checking it out. He should just shut-up. Bossard knows what he's doing, we won, MB is ok, it's all good. Shhhhhhhhh Ozzie...
  23. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ May 13, 2005 -> 10:37 PM) Great job closing it out by Hermy. Also thought it was funny that AJ jokingly pushed around Crede when they were high fiving eachother at the end of the game. I think it's because he almost bowled-over PK on that ast pop-up. Funny s***....but also proves AJ is NOT a cancer and that team chemistry RAWKS!
  24. Inning over 1-2-3. We cant hit Steve Reed....anyway.....Hermy on to close it out!
  25. 13 in a row retird by MB. Let's get some insurance and let MB/Hermy finish it off.
